I'm actually not sure on this. Solid Snake is likely better in a no-tricks fight, but Joseph could trick and go toe to toe with Pillar Men, who have far more experience. But, I'll vote for Solid Snake since with no weapons nor items, trickery won't be as useful here.

There are no reasons for snake winning, so that FRA is meaningless.

I think Joseph can create Hamon barriers and keep up with Solid Snake with it, speciallty since Hamon can mind hax and even knock Snake out instantly.
