Some sandbox questions

I just want to make sure of some things.

1. If I save a draft in sandbox do I have to save it again each time I revisit?

2. What will happen if I "post thread" in sandbox and is it a better option than save draft?

I have no clue on how either of the options work or whats better so yeah...
