Sonic the Hedgehog: The Prime World multi-universe size problem (and downgrade)

Tails knows Green Hill in actual Generations now so that can't be used for timeline placements anymore.

Ah, I didn't know that because I only played Shadow Generations and skipped replaying OG Gens.

So does this mean baseline 2-C is gonna be skipped on the pages because of the closeness between the events of Secret Rings and Prime? Or are we doing something like "Low Multiverse level (At least 2 universes, possibly 6 universes... [Explanation Here])" for their rating to a certain point before going to flat 6x uni?

These are still things we need to figure out before ever touching any pages.

If Secret Rings infinite stuff is excluded then would Arabian Nights even be baseline? At that point Egg Dragoon scaling would be the earliest point base would be 2-C via upscaling super egg robot, and then they would become 6x uni via prism between unleashed and colors maybe, assuming Prime is between those.

Because Cubot exists in Prime, I would say it's after Colors, which automatically puts it after Generations.

In an interview with Logan McPherson, the executive producer of Sonic Prime, he said that the show is canon, and it does draw upon the existing mythology from the games. In 2024, after the third and final season of Sonic Prime released, Flynn finally explained the show's status in the overall timeline: aside from taking place sometime after the events of Sonic Advance 3, the show's placement is considered moot due to the final episode "From the Top" having the show wipe itself out. In TailsTube No. 7, the events of the show are shown on the monitor, specifically Sonic and Shadow fighting in Green Hill, further proving its canonicity.

What's the vote so far?
The OP's (my) arguments are dropped,
but Qawsedf234 (Staff) pointed out a flaw that still drops the rating. However, Theuser789 pointed out that in Prime, Sonic tanks the destruction of the Paradox Prism, allowing us to maintain the current tier, but at a point after in the series.
Even so, Sonic Prime needs to be placed at some point in the timeline for this, which is problematic because the only thing we officially know is that it happened sometime after Sonic Advance 3, and based on evidence, the most logical places seem to be in some point from post-Unleashed to Pre-Forces (I think Post-generations).

The only existing votes since this argument was made are from Qawsedf234 and Maverick_Zero_X (who haven't commented on maintaining the tier afterward)

There would be a downgrade regardless from 12 to 6 universes, since the prism created the six universes only on Sonic’s side

Afaik the universes are downgraded and if you're accepting the Prism thing as durability, then yeah it would be 2-C. Timeline idk, sometime after advance 3 which places it late Adventure / Early Modern

does tier 1 also get affected? I suppose not right?

No, nothing in this CRT affects anything about the Tier 1 ratings, even if it wasn't rejected.
Qawsedf234 is simply noting that only the Paradox Prism feat is 6 universes, since Sonic's universe is only Low 2-C, which downgrades the Rush feat.

In order for Tier 1 to be affected, the thread would have to either tackle the hypertimeline, Cyber Space, Maginaryworld, Dr. Eggman's Tesseract, or Light-Man Eggman.

  • Direct mention of Gemerl places it at least post-Sonic Advance 3.
  • Orbot exists in Prime, so we can automatically assume it takes place at least after Unleashed, since the Orbot prototype exists in Unleashed.
  • Cubot exists in Prime, which suggests it could be post-Colours, automatically placing it post-Generations, since Eggman is trapped in White Space between the two games.

  • Sonic is surprised by New Yoke City's world domination, which would suggest it's pre-Forces.
  • In turn, Sonic is also surprised by badniks without animals inside, something that's common at any point in the series, unless we say it happens post-Lost World and he was surprised because it was the last thing he had to deal with.
Although these last points are possibly just the series being inconsistent with the rest of the universe (like the Metal Sonic in Prime), So personally I would just leave it at Post-Generations.

That's my take
