Spike vs Charmander (redone) (0-7-0)

Evidently, people would rather wait out the grace period instead of answering questions. Doesn't mean I'm not gonna ask again.

Charmander would lead with a fire attack and if that doesn't work he'll go to status effects. Either way there's no definitive way to get what he leads with. Spike isn't putting down Charmander within a moment, Charmander can evade his attacks and either try ti strike him or probably use a status effect move as it is one of the first moves he learns.

Overall, if Spike manages to get to Charmander and decides to try and restrict him first then he can win, but charmander would has a notably greater chance to win as he could land a few easy statuses and win.

Uh huh, right, so that sounds like Spike will be statused and weakened too much too be able to actually win by the time he gets within fighting range.

That works in favor of the stomp argument. 4.2 seconds is a long time at these distances. Speaking of which: Still no source for such ranges on starters.
