Araki did state that if the PART 3 cast went back in time, they would be able to see Hermit Purple on Young Joseph´s arm.

Please keep in mind Johnny and Gyro need to build up the golden rotation.

Caesar and Joseph do not need to build up anything. Joseph can pull out a Tommy gun and blast them before they can get infinite rotation out, so it's not really viable to immediately use it.

I mean Johnny can just fire Act 3 which creates black holes. And even if the shot misses, the black hole will just follow them.
