Street Fighter Mid-Tier Speed Upgrade

We originally decided to get rid of Guile "breaking the sound barrier" statement because it was A) unsourced B) deleted. However I have found the source

The statement originally comes from the "Undisputed Street Fighter: A 30th Anniversary Retrospective" book, which surveys the history of Street Fighter as a franchise across all media. It features in-depth interviews and exclusive behind-the-scenes looks into the franchise.

On page 186 of the book, is Guile's Signature Moves list, which states "Sonic Boom: Guile breaks the sound barrier when he flings this full-screen projectile at opponents"
This would upgrade him to at least Transonic, but considering he can throw far superior variants, possibly Supersonic

Affects: All mid tiers get a Transonic - Supersonic speed upgrade

This has been talked about a few times in past CRTs.
That book isn't an official guide, rather an artbook published by an american company and not written by Capcom, which just gave the licensing (as with any secondary product, ofc).
Basically, it's a non-canon source not backed up by anything in the games or japanese guides we currently use, and as such we don't consider it valid, similarly to other game books such as the Prima Guides, the old Nintendo Power and so on.

Also, that statement doesn't come from any featured interview, so it could be made up by the author.

Well it's not an "artbook" though, it's a licensed history retrospective of the entire Street Fighter franchise
And even then wouldn't the combination of Guile's origin as Air Force, the constant naming of attacks after Sonic Booms, and the statement mentioned above, be enough to justify the overall speed rating?

It aligns with the in-universe lore and doesn't contradict anything, like how we use the Legend of Zelda Encyclopedia to support 3-A Triforce

If I am wrong I'll just drop it

Artbook was the wrong term, my bad, but the problem is that it isn't sufficiently "official", the licensing comes in every product with a trademark on it, whether it's made by first parties or second, third and so on, there are countless of similar books, the Undisputed just happens to be much more greater in scope and popular.

The Air Force means little, Nash was a soldier and has probably named his signature move after something he was fond of, like jet planes and their speed.
The street fighters all have evocative or flowery names for their techniques, but just as real martial arts moves, they are meant to draw a comparison and evoke an idea, rather than being literal.

For how strange it appears to be, none of the official side media we currently use (the japanese "All About" guides, modern websites etc...) make any mention of the Sonic Boom's actual speed.
This makes that statement not only unofficial, but also unsupported by primary canon.

Iirc the Zelda Encyclopedia, just like the Historia, is (at least partly) produced and published with first-hand input or else from Nintendo, just like the aforementioned Capcom guides.

If there were more solid evidences of the Sonic Boom's speed, I'd more than eager than use this to support the rating, but unfortunately that's not the case.

Not really, we have to be careful when scaling to Juri, because the FAE makes her fluctuate between 9-A and 8-B, and same goes for speed, she might have been slighty more subsonic or straight up supersonic, Hypersonic etc.., we don't know.

Also, in that scene Guile was pretty close and Juri had a giant wind-up just because she was having fun torturing Cammy.

We also know she can basically dominate anyone else in speed and strength once she turns on the power a little more, so it's not safe to scale 9-As to her.
