Hey, just a suggestion I want to give (hoping this is the right place to do it). Basically this is for pages with flashing colours in their content (main ones coming to mind is Homestuck pages like this). I would like to suggest a Epilepsy Warning Template to put at the top of pages to avoid any potential issues in the future.

Thank you for responding. 🙏🙂❤️

this might just be Homestuck pages, I can't think of anything else with flashing colors in their profile pictures

Yeah. This is fine.

Thank you for helping out. 🙏❤️

This is already more than enough, given there is no opposition.

Ideally it should be formatted like the content warning

EPILEPSY WARNING

This page contains imagery that may trigger some epileptic users. Please refrain from this page if you have epilepsy.

Something like that
you could also invert the colour scheme of black and red to make it stand out more. That'd probably be ideal too since a lot of users are used to the content warning as is

oh and one more thing, and this is more a formatting rule I want to propose, you should not be able to make the primary image of a page the one that causes epilepsy. This is mainly due to the templates only covering so much space, alongside a lot of users probably having it zoomed out too. Using a tabber should be fine but the first image you see should not cause harm.

Feel free to delete this, but I gotta ask since this is relevant.

Will this also be applied to user "profiles/walls" since I find that to be a relevant issue as well, I don't know how many times I have gone onto a profile only for them to be blinking and changing colours, and it is likely a far bigger issue than the profiles themself.

I haven't read the interim conversation, so I wanna ask. Would it be policy to have pages with these warnings start lower? Otherwise, something like Homestuck's brightly flashing images are still going to be visible when you open the link, you'll just get the warning at the same time, which doesn't do much good. There's a reason they put warning signs before the mine field rather than inside of it, after all.

Thats why I am suggesting this

Like I previously suggested, could we start a thread to report pages that would need the template? I think it’s necessary for locked one especially

That seems fine to me, but please wait until we have applied our new template. 🙏
