sword fight

This is a huge stomp in Dante's favour. Before creating verse threads, please check out their profiles.

Long story short, under standard battle assumptions? ...Dante wins. By a lot.

A better fight IMO would be Pre-Timeskip Erza vs DMC3 Dante, a lot closer/more fair.

Reading the title, I assume this should be a simple sword duel of skill, therefore stats equalized and no powers allowed.

I'm gonna have to go with Dante who I see as someone who fully utilizes skill with the sword if that's the case.

Else, Dante stomps.

A good number of reasons:

Beating Abigail who smothered a whole continent in clouds, dispersing those clouds in a short period of time afterwards, defeated Mundus who created what effectively is an entire planet... yeah.

likely Planet level (Defeated Mundus, who created an entire pocket dimension containing a planet), possibly higher (The exact limit of Mundus 's power is unknown) His sword, Yamato, Ignores durability

so Erza is equal to DMC 3 Dante??

Well, Pre-Timeskip is more or less.

Basically, DMC 3 Dante about = Pre-Timeskip Erza, Dante from various points in the middle of DMC 1 roughly = Erza at best, Dante at end of DMC 1 and onwards >>>>> Everything in Fairy Tail. Sparda power-up does that for you it seems.

The main problem with FT is while currently they have some good hax to deal with other verse hax, they usually just too slow to even have the change using their hax.

well dante>erza ofc, dante is almost immortal and has Regenerationn, and devil trigger on top of that. if dante didnt have Regenerationn and wasnt nearly immortal then it would have been a bit more fair.

dante saves the world without putting very serious effort into it, thats just how he is.

Well if this Dante vs Erza according to hiro mashima then erza probably just going to pull some Erzapotence and then Nakamapotence DMC verse...
