The Twisted Metal canon is a huge can of worms. I recommend giving this video a watch if you want an accurate idea of this.
Tl;dr: There are many inconsistencies between multiple versions of these characters across several games, with Twisted Metal Black and anything continuity-wise from it being just a part of Sweet Tooth's twisted imagination with his version of Minion stating that he's trapped in his mind through his codes (check the description for the decoded messages). We can assume that this is just an aspect of Sweet Tooth's declining sanity calling for help rather than a case of Minion actually being trapped in his mind. Twisted Metal Black and Twisted Metal Lost are the only ones that exist within this continuity due to this being a version of the Twisted Metal world perceived through Sweet Tooth's psychological lens, and we can't exactly trust the events of the other games having really happened. We can say that Lost is canon to Black because it directly references events from that game.
Twisted Metal 1 and 2 are as straight canon as you can get as Calypso directly references the events of the last game and it is said that the ending where Carl Roberts, the driver of Outlaw, won the last tournament, and had his words twisted for his wish, being sent hurdling into space actually happened, as confirmed by his sister. The sequel to this by the same developers, Twisted Metal: Head On, treats the next game as if it were a branching timeline situation. Whoever you choose won the previous tournament, so it's really anyone's game with no definitive winner. It's an undisputed fact however that it really did happen.
Twisted Metal 2012 is just straight up a reboot. Calypso does possess some trophies that are items from previous games, however, given how little the stories line up and the fact that the Blades of Chaos from God of War are there too, it's safe to assume this is just a fun little easter egg unless we assume like the video uploader that Calypso is a multiversal traveler and reset the timeline, which is not directly stated in canon and is just a headcanon explanation.
Twisted Metal 3 and 4 are also in a different timeline, as the Twisted Metal tournament is stated to have been around since the dawn of automobiles when that is clearly not the case in the original timeline and it contains numerous continuity errors and retcons. This is also not to mention that 3 and 4 were made by different developers and not the original team.
Twisted Metal Small Brawl is just a non-canon spin-off.
So, what do we do with this information?
We split the profiles.
Calypso should no longer be a composite profile like he is right now and should have separate profiles marked:
Original - Twisted Metal Black - 2012 - 989 Studios (For 3 and 4's continuity) - Small Brawl
The same goes for Sweet Tooth and Axel.
Agree: Tonygameman, SamanPatou, DarkDragonMedeus, Armorchompy (4)
Disagree:
Neutral:
