it's usually melee, mainly punches and slamming into the opponent but if that doesn't work, he tries some weirder stuff like mind hax and energy manipulation

Well I don't see his physical attacks doing much given Danny's physiology so his regeneration and multiple methods of avoiding physical attacks (body control, teleportation, layered intangibility and such). However, I'm going to immediately concede to mind manipulation being a valid method. Although Danny currently has and accepted 5 layers of mind manipulation resistance, The Sentry is scaling to people like Charles Xavier and Emma Frost, so despite the layers not being acknowledged on their profile, this is comic books we're talking about here and so I'm not even gonna bother debating it. Same will likely go for stuff like soul manipulation.

His cold resistance isn't enough though since Danny's ice is colder than that of Antarctica given it immediately freezes his targets to the point where they become brittle and can be shattered into pieces, he's frozen people in space like Vlad and people with resistance to it. So a freeze to the Ghostly Wail which negates regeneration up to Low-Godly and has a wide range could work since Danny's bloodlusted and those would be his most effective methods.

Currently it seems if Danny lands Ghostly Wail Sentry gets incapacitated but if Sentry lands his hax like mind manipulation and such he's gonna win. Both have similar abilities, so those are going to counter each other (I'm referring to things like Attack Reflection and the like).

1 thing I want to note is that while Sentry's regen is listed as High on his profile, the Imgur link it leads to is titled as Low-Godly, which adds up because he's able to reform back completely from just his soul. Like you said though, I can see him getting incapacitated here but I can also see him pulling off some mind hax (or reality warping) to take out Danny

Layers in Marvel are impossible to properly track with a few exceptions. Comic consistency with hax scaling is near nonexistent.

No. From a distance he starts out with ranged attacks (ectoplasmic energy blasts or ice based ranged attacks since this is post season 3), he's occasionally started with Ghostly Wail on bigger/stronger targets, other than that he'll close the gap and go melee combat. But his hax like, possession, power absorption and such not things he uses regularly, only when the situation calls for it. He'll mix in abilities like duplication, attack reflection shields, and such in combat for support options but no, Danny didn't lead with his hax.

The Sentry profile really needs a revamp. There are a lot of things missing and some doesn't have scans or explanations.


By the way, I don't see Danny winning this. Basically, everything he does, the Sentry can do and better, I dare to say. His energy manipulation? He can absorb and control energy from anywhere and everywhere at 1-A scale. He can manipulate reality and matter, and his mind hax is also 1-A in potency. The moment he sees his punchs can't do damage to Danny, the Sentry either tries to desintegrate him with a stare or destroy his mind.

Destroying Sentry's body would probably release the Void — which is an abstract, astral and psionic entity who could just appears inside Danny's mind and corrode his soul with his 1-A soul/mind hax.

Astral Forms aren't just mind, soul, and concept, they also are one's personal information, which Danny can't affect IIRC. Also, they have NEP 2.

Personal information as in information manipulation or as in just his identity/what makes him who he is? If it's the former than no, if it's the later then yes.

Regardless, seems Sentry's profile is outdated and Danny can't do anything against NEP or his other broken stuff so I guess this is a stomp in Sentry's favor so I'll close this.
