The State of Canon.

I understand Mario Canon is really Confusing seeing how theirs never a direct answer, but i honestly feel like at this point in the franchise Nintendo is basically saying all games are canon, On the official Nintendo website they confirmed Sports games are canon and stated Mario is no longer a plumber, and in the new game that releases this week they stated a lot of clothing from "Mario story past" will be wearable and they even had the Mario maker outfit in there, this post is only my opinion, and i would like to hear others thought.
