Kratos isn't stupid, far from it, his combat experience is on the kind that makes even the Sisters of Fate and Athena shit their pants, causing them to shudder at the sight of what would happen if Kratos ever got a weapon powerful enough to kill Zeus, let alone the strength to kill Zeus.
never said he is
just that his rage can get the better of him, other wise he is a genius strategest

he didn't try that at the start of GoW 3
He already knew his lesson from GoW2 that this wouldn't work. Zeus already clapped back at him even stronger with his power growth in GoW2.

though he also doesn't go for clean kills with the gods seen eehhhhh.... well everywhere in GoW3
Ever think that he needs to lower their defenses first and he wants to give them an out?

Also, every time he's killed said Gods, he's always used their equipment for his own. Kratos is the kind of guy who will utilize anything and everything he can get on his hands to use against his enemies.

I mean herc and hera sure but he really went hard for posidon and hades no remourse just called them cowards and dared them to face him which ya know how THAT ended
Hades later eventually faced him honorably and then perished. Kratos also needed Hades' soul to get out of the Underworld because you need the soul of a God to leave the Hyperion Gate, Hephaestus makes this painfully clear.

Poseidon was already finished by the time he was kicked out of his water form, Kratos couldn't afford to keep loose ends so he took him out the way he knows best, snapping the poor bastard's neck.

and honestly yeah I will probably make a CRT about it because its weird that he doesn't have higher dimensional existance at least for the soul I mean him channeling his soul into the god blast gives him 2-A attack potency that is kinda insane not to have it for him
I mean, good luck honestly but I will warn that just outputting Tier 2 power levels doesn't make one higher-D.
But anyway yeah how does kratos concept absorption work and is it relaint on anything in preticular?
It's tied in with his soul, luck etc. hax. Like, everything that affects the soul will affect the concept basically.
yeah a one shot but he didn't really try anything untill zeus started floating he went on a whole ass monolauge about how nothing could stop him to then get slapped in the face, you got to admit that was pretty dumb of him
Kratos almost killed Zeus barely an hour prior from his perspective, after outsmarting him. It's likely just him assuming that Zeus' power growth wasn't that egregious and being confident in facing the latter now that he had the aid of the Titans and the Blade was fully his.

What do you expect him to do? It would be suicide either way.
Zeus literally surprised him with his ginormous power increase.
Zeus starts raging out and Kratos is already ******.
GoW3 Zeus is demonstrably leagues stronger and faster than his GoW2 Self. And events are barely minutes apart.

Never mind the fact that Zeus undergoes yet another massive power boost by the first leg of the final boss fight.

eh that being tied to the soul with the back up of him stating that his godly essence exists beyond a Tessaract which is a 4D structure is pretty solid in my opinion

Fair but than that does put a dampener on the whole being able to analyse thor of a glance shtik

Kratos is swift to learn from his mistakes. He easily analyzed a fodder Revenant's ability to slip past sheets of reality, deducing that as the reason why he couldn't hit the Revenant earlier, such a revelation leaves even his son, who is an expert on the Norse Bestiary, in utter awe, boy literally couldn't fathom what the hell his father was talking about. And Kratos had never even met a thing like a Revenant before in his entire life but he pulls it off on the first try.

It's a moment of cockiness after being close to killing the man he hates the most in his life. Compared to how;

  • He deduces that a creature he's never seen before is slipping between sheets of reality from looking at it.
  • Manages to discern the workings and effects of most magical weapons that he sees with a glance.
  • Deduced a reality warping puzzle that Hera was confident in keeping him there forever, despite having never experienced it before.
  • Defeats most of the gods with their own weapons despite only hearing about their use before.
  • Can detect magical ability in even the most inane objects around him while in Pandora's Temple.

And more. He can slouch at times due to being overcome by anger but here it's just a god he's never met before. And as III shows he really doesn't care that much about the rest.

Yeah. The discussion above was mostly about his tactics and such.

You also forgot being able to sense the Spear of Destiny's lethal capabilities instantly before even Gaia could tell him just how dangerous it really was.
