How would it work and how would it be handled by the site?

Also would it be regarded as one of the most powerful abilities possible?

(Some of these answers are obvious but I feel needed to have a discussion)

(If confused think how SCP-682 or SCP-1440 are banned from dying by 1-Bs, that concept but by a tier 0)

It would work the same as any other Type 8 Immortality. There was one example of this on the wiki that I know of.

When The Law of Identity was considered Tier 0, Akuto Sai was given her divine protection. He would not and could not die because she didn't allow it.

The thing was at the time, we restricted Higher-Dimensional [Or beyond Dimensional in this case] Type 8 Immortality, and now the TLOI has been downgraded to At least High 1-A.

In any case, it would mean that Akuto Sai would never have a loss on his matches due to being killed because he can't die. Though he can be defeated or incapacitated in other ways that lead to him losing fights. It would definitely be considered the greatest version of Immortality on the site for sure, as it is not bypassable.

Hmm cool, I was just doing stuff today and thought of that so thought id ask about it.

I am not interested in versus threads, but I suppose that absolute immortality would mean that a combattant either cannot be truly defeated, or only incapacitated or contained.
