Type 1 Self-Sustenance Question

1. If a character can survive without oxygen for long periods of time, do they still possess this?

2. If they don't need to breathe in oxygen, but they need to be in an area where oxygen is present (even when not breathable), do they still possess this?

The first case no, I think it's only surviving without oxygen forever.

The second one depends, what happens to them when there's no oxygen? They choke? They burn? They get conceptually erased?

They die slowly until Oxygen is present again.

Like poisoning? I think it wouldn't count either.

They are in pain while dying, kinda of like gas poisioning. I guess you could say, choking
