Nick will likely start by using SI to try and convince Grave not to fight.
Yeah, problem with that, that would only work if he had Mika along with him to negotiate. Without her here, Grave is always going to lead Guns Blazing no questions asked. As in, KICK THEIR ASS, as the games lightly put it.

Phoenix convinced Galactus, a World destroying entity to stand trial

So he should be able to convince Grave relatively easily

I know Pheonix convinced Galactus, the problem is there won't be any time to convince when Grave is going to start shooting the second the match starts.

that normally this isn't an issue but Grave has perception manipulation (he attacks a lot faster then Phoenix as a result) which makes Phoenix not able to survive long enough to use his SI

Yeah, that too. Phoenix's SI is a great wincon, but the first think Grave did when he woke up from his slumber is go guns blazing, so without Mika to negotiate, grave is just going to shoot the place up.

cough cough Turnabout Mode.
Not going to help much when Grave has demolition shots. Whether it be firing multiple tracking rockets from the Death Hauler, slowing down his perception of time, firing bullets all over the place, you get the point. And each of these Demoliton Shots slow down Grave's perception of time so much its like everything around him is at a near stand still.

I'm assuming your voting for Grave and so am I

Nick is smarter than Grave and can probably summon Maya to create a forcefield so that he can reason with Grave.
Smarter in what way? General intelligence I can agree with (Brandon Heat [Grave's human self when alive] was just an orphan that relied on crime to get by with Harry), but skill? We're talking about an expert Sweeper in his former life who could automatically tell where someone was when said someone was multiple buildings away cover by a curtain with zero difficulty, and should be superior to Eye of Michael members from Trigun and should be similar in skill to Livio and Wolfwood. And looking at the profile, Maya's forcefield only seems to block projectiles, nothing too bad for Grave since he can use Dawn of the Grave to get close and then bash Phoenix with the Death Hauler.

That's not mentioning the fact that Feenie's profile directly states he in unskilled and lacks any real feats for fighting.

In the Notable Attacks/Techniques section:

"M-Maya!?": Maya runs past Phoenix to aid him against the opponent. For offence, she can trip and falls, sliding across the ground. For defence, she can manifest a shield of energy that nullifies projectiles and blocks physical attacks.

I don't exactly know how I missed that
🗿

Though how long does this exactly go for?

Oh, but looking at it, it seems to be a small shield that's only in one direction. Doesn't seem all that useful if Grave can just, dodge around it.
