What happens if a human enters a 4th Dimensional Space?

The place Choi Hyuk arrived at was a completely unfamiliar darkness.

It was different from the dark matter of Dark City. Although Dark City was dark as well, it was still a place within the third dimension. It wasn't very different from the familiar darkness of the night sky. However, this place was a darkness within the fourth dimension. It wasn't a place a lifeform from the third dimension could perceive.

Shapes in the third dimension looked completely different in the fourth dimension. His arms and legs curved however they wished, and his back stretched and curled around. Like a surrealistic picture, Choi Hyuk's body lost the original shape he was familiar with. Even the darkness was the same. When he thought there was light, it was dark, and what he thought to be dark seemed to shine as if there was a light. The darkness felt like a hard surface, then rolling waves, and then an endless fall.

However, Choi Hyuk didn't fall into a state of confusion. Karma was a power of fate created by lifeforms. It didn't adhere to the fourth dimension. That was why, even though his senses were chaotic, his mind was clear.

"Is it you?"

Choi Hyuk asked. The darkness all around him was leering at him. Perhaps Choi Hyuk was already within the monster's maw.

Choi Hyuk unsheathed 'Imprint'. Instead of a pleasant ringing sound, a flat 'tik' noise sounded out. Imprint had lost its shape in the darkness as well. It became wide, flabby, and mushy. It didn't look like it could slice anything.

However, that was only for a moment. When Choi Hyuk raised 'Imprint' above his head in preparation for a slash, the blade of the mushy 'Imprint' formed a cold, sharp line. 'Imprint' surged with karma, stood rigidly and displayed its vigor. A Weapon of Vow could overcome matter and become a weapon of pure karma. This limit, however, depended on its owner.

Currently, at this moment, over 80% of 'Choi Hyuk's Imprint' was composed of pure karma. The karma, which reflected his will of wanting to deliver a fatal blow with one strike, surged dangerously. Along with it, Choi Hyuk's body, which had been scattered like a mist, had returned to its original form in the darkness.

In a darkness where everything was distorted, only Choi Hyuk was clear

So just reading a novel and the MC entered a 4th Dimensional Space in which his body was curling and such. He then made his body normal after a set amount of time, but I dont know what type of ability this is.

What ability is this? What happens if a human enters a 4th Dimensional Space?

You die, really, instant death.If you brought a 2 dimensional being to a 3 dimensional space then its innards would spill out of it.Same would happen to a human if it suddenly gets transported to a 4th dimensional space

Honestly physics doesn't really tackle what would happen to a 3-D object in 4-D space. Presumably you would see an countless amount of "you" stretching from everything you have ever done to everything you ever will do, since the 4th dimension is probably time.

Also if the character gained a 4-D body, he would begin to move and perceive everything in a hypercube-like style. But really we have no idea what would happen.

That said I'd say that adapting yourself to a higher-D environment would be Spatial Manipulation and Higher-D Manip.

Nothing happens actually. Humans already exist in a 4-D continuum.

A 3-D being can exists in infinite-dimensional space just fine, but its 4-D to infinite-D size is 0

A 2-D being or object would have no innards, since it doesn't have any depth or mass. Bringing a 2-D object into 3-D space would just make the 2-D object imperceivable to the 3-D world, since it lacks the third axis that 3-D beings comprehend.

I mean yes we are in a 4-D continuum, but actually entering the 4th dimension itself, rather than just experiencing time, is a different story. Humans know and interact classically with 3 dimensions, with the 4th being perceived as time and having no constructs that humans can effect.

I don't think it's comprehendable to know what would happen, I mean we are 3-D beings anyway.

You would see reality from a perspective you can't comprehend before probably running out of oxygen sooner or later.
