Idk. Maybe because it takes many, many hits to destroy a wooden structure, and being twice as strong will only make it take less number of hits?

Also, amped buildings?

Maybe in the game, but in the commercial a Barbarian smashed through a building just fine. Actually, the CoC verse now has a Moon Level person, so I should probably be focusing on that.
