There’s a certain issue I’ve been having.
Since the second book of Lord of Mysteries finished, the author Cuttlefish, has been posting these WeChat blogs (like here, here, here, here etc. etc.) on a scheduled basis in which he covers information that could not be included within the 2 books (Lord of Mysteries & Circle of Inevitability).
Such blogs (as seen in the links above) usually cover the abilities of specific Pathways inside the verse in a detailed and organized manner starting from Sequence 9 up to Sequence 0. Naturally, considering that there are over 30 Pathways with each having 10 Sequences to them and each Sequence having their own distinct abilities, it becomes clear why they could not all be included within the two books.
Additionally, in the comment sections of these blogs, he usually does a Q&A in which he answers readers’ questions.
My concern now comes up on whether or not these blogs would count as WoG, or if they would be more akin to a Databook Statement.
Obviously, the Q&A is WoG—that’s not being debated here; what is my concern, though, is the blog itself. Since it is not prompted up by any third party and is purely the author’s way of giving supplementary information that he didn’t have space to include in the novel while also being organized, detailed and extensive, I believe it to be a reliable source for statements and deserving of more weight than the average WoG statement.
In any case, I would like to know the ruling on this and whether I am allowed to use these statements for abilities and the like. Thanks in advance
