Zenless Zone Zero Discussion Thread

It's balanced by the fact that it's short as hell, less than 3 seconds of percep and speed amps. It's not an instant win since it's reactionary and brief, but it will balance against stuff like superior skill, precog, analytical prediction, etc.,
 
Also, I just realized that 2.75 seconds is the duration of Vital View for the character as perceived in slowed time/perception. Technically, the actual uptime in the fight would be like 0.08 seconds slowed to this extent for them to act, so it's even more balanced, just able to be used for things like dodging or counter-attacking. Depends on what's the commonly agreed upon interpretation, but it would last 2.75 seconds from their perspective
 
So Billy can now go from Hypersonic+ to MHS and get a free counterattack, what a cheater..!!

Helping out with LS feats. By helping I just mean I'm pointing out LS feats.

The above calc I did could be wrong if 0 m/s wasn't the speed they started at, but the feat isn't cited there. I'll look for more but this is what I found at just a glance.
 
The Dead End Butcher (the dude with the spear) calc is one that I've been wracking my head on because I'm not sure how I would approach it. To do that you'd need to get the weight of the Dead End Butcher itself, which is a bit difficult since Ethereals are kinda confusing on what exactly they're made of.

The second one links somewhere that doesn't work but I'm assuming it refers to Bringer's giant sword. I kinda neglected that calculation

It looked like a robot to me so I would've assumed metal. But I dunno anything about the verse. Are they made of smth else?

i mean ether crystals are a pretty common thing throughout the game but it's kind of unclear whether or not they have the same density as actual crystals.

ethereals like the dead end butcher are inorganic beings comprised entirely of ether, which is pretty much the game's main power/energy source. it's found in the air of hollows and it's utilized for energy, so in a sense it kind of acts almost like a fossil fuel of sorts. but it also has weirder properties like being able to warp space and reality itself. i think it's just kind of hard to pinpoint an exact density for ethereals because ether as a substance itself is very bizarre and we just still don't really know enough about it to make an accurate guess
 
I've seen other calculations treat unknown minerals as assumed to be made of rock, so this could work

If it's called a crystal and has a crystalline appearance, then I don't think the wiki cares at all if it has other strange properties. U can just use crystal properties
 
Her singing did power the thrusters that lifted a concert-sized stadium so I think she's fine where she is personally
 
finished playing through the 2.4 story

pretty good stuff overall, i enjoyed it. i really liked every character that was present during the story. i thought dialyn's personality was fun, but i also enjoyed her more somber personality and also the fact that she can also be cold and calculating when necessary. banyue's really cool, and i like that both his and dialyn's journeys throughout the chapter tie into the game's overarching theme of living and moving forward from the past.

the ye siblings were also great. ye shunguang is a fun character, and on a semi-unrelated note, her casual outfit is so fire. that moment at the end of the chapter where she's desperately re-reading through her diary, trying to cling onto her memories is honestly really heartbreaking, and i think it does a good job setting up stakes and consequences for utilizing the power of the qingming sword. ye shiyuan is a great brother and his self-sacrificing nature to do anything to protect his sister was really noble. it definitely seems like they're setting him up to do more in the future, so i'm really curious as to whether or not he'll be playable at some point

although she only made brief appearances this chapter, zhao was really cool. i really like that they're enforcing her role as a calculating, logical person who isn't afraid to get her own hands or other people's hands dirty to get things done. as far as the stuff with sarah and the creator goes, while i honestly have not cared about sarah at all the entire season (i've honestly just found her to be more annoying than anything else), i did admittedly think the small snippet of her backstory alongside her merging with the creator to be really interesting. definitely looking forward to seeing how that conflict's gonna get resolved with the season's climax

all in all though, good stuff, i liked it. as far as feats go, i actually don't recall there being a whole lot? there were a couple of hax and abilities i thought were interesting but i don't actually think there was anything super substantial feats wise. might have to reskim through the story and double check again though, i wasn't really going through looking at everything with a versus lens
 
Dialyn just straight up gives you a free Ult on Stun with charged normal attack? Yo...

Also those fists are super scary, they might yield something interesting with how fast they are 👀

i think yixuan has a loooot more abilities you could probably add to her profile. might be missing a couple cause she's done a lot, but off the top of my head :

Imo this one is more summoning, she can't control existing animals just the ink one she summons

Secondly, she should have all the abilities Phaethon has with Ether Resonance since she's teaching them, which I do see here which is all good

On AP, IMO I think the Defiler part should be more like “Fought and is much more powerful than the Defiler, who was able to create a tsunami, as the Sacrifice was matched by Orpheus and Magus, whom Yixuan stated she could defeat even if they had the aid of all the Obsidian troops within Waifei Peninsula, and the former of the two stating they easily defeated the Defiler because of Yixuan’s assistance.”

Maybe also a higher with Gold Qingming Bird as she destroyed collected miasma launched by the Miasma Priest, which she struggled to guard against a moment prior, and proceeded to completely overwhelm her, I guess this be Awakened Power as she entered this state after learning what her sister said during her sacrifice if I recall correctly.
 
She basically has these rings that act like portals that make her hands gigantic when they pass through.
