Zenless Zone Zero Discussion Thread

It’s just not well established to be used in vs fights in my opinion.

I personally dislike the pressure overload debuffs being indexed but that’s just me.
Best move is just to nuke ts temporarily until new information comes out, something we can use to properly index it. Rn it feels like bleach soul crush all over again.

Also does Miyabi have corruption indexed in her abilities l?
 
Other verses that have this kind of thing do have resistances so I'd say they'd count. Especially those with even more souped-up versions of Ether like Warhammer

Please tell Masked more about the stuff that makes your world a post-apocalyptic one.

The Pressure Overload is weird, and Masked would like to know exactly how canon it is.
It's meant to represent the dangers of Hollows, but a representation can be somewhat lacking

Miyabi only has Resistance to Ether Corruption, as far as Masked is aware.

Masked agrees, but to be fair
Warp Energy / Psychic Energy / Magic makes up the entire universe of Warhammer, so there are very few things it can't equalize to.
Actually, Masked can't think of anything it can't equalize to. Plot maybe?

To add onto the uses for Ether, you could mention the military's applications of Ether, like the Ether Kinetic Armor (for the Typhon Unit) or their use of Ether incendiary agents for their bazooka. However, you could save this for a separate section.

Do you plan for listing the abilities of Miasma in the "Ethereals" section?

this can probably just be added as part of ether's uses so i'll go back and add that later. i forgot to mention it in the page but tailless is also made of specialized ether matter iirc so i'll jot that down too

i was initially gonna have an entirely separate tab dedicated to miasma but since it's essentially just a variation of ether and it's pretty much identical otherwise i'll probably just lump it in with ether when i write down the abilities and stuff for it

Masked has gone over the page twice, and finds it agreeable.

The only point of contention for Masked is the Sound Manipulation and Soul Manipulation. Ether itself seems to only be capable of producing echoes of sounds, instead of being able to manipulate sound directly. Masked believes this would be Limited.
Masked can't remember any proper effects on the soul itself.

For the Reality Warping and Spatial Manipulation, you could also add Pocket Reality Manipulation.

yeah those are fair. the soul manipulation solely comes from yanagi's statement in the pale wasteland event, but i think when she refers to "soul" she's moreso just talking about sentient beings. the only other thing within ZZZ i can think of that kinda has implications for ether and soul-based stuff is tailless absorbing it's previous hosts, with their spirits/souls residing within the blade's realm or whatever. it's why i listed it as possibly rather than just definitive, i think it's kinda contentious. the sound manipulation point is also fair

for the record i obviously don't think characters like nicole and astra are literally warping reality with their ether-based attacks, but the weird spacetimey effects of hollows are quite literally attributed to ether according to yanagi in the pale wasteland event. i'm not really sure if i should go all in with that and include a bunch of other more hollow-specific abilities like it's ability to create portals/fissures and it's ability to create and spawn ethereals. feels like that stuff would be more fitting in a location-specific profile for hollows as a whole, but that statement in particular caught my attention while i was looking for stuff to add to the page so i figured it'd be worth including

Technically it is an ability of Ether, but based on the dialogue it implies that absolutely nobody has control, access, even the knowledge of how to utilize Ether in that capacity.
Given that it’s only shown in hollows, and we don’t really know how or why hollows can do it, it’s best to leave it as unknown (like mentioning that it’s unknown how ether can do this) or removing it entirely.

fair enough, i think if it's something no agent can realistically use right now ill probably just remove it for the time being. if i end up making a designated location page for hollows as an environment i might just throw it in there instead

any other comments on the other abilities i listed?
