Thank you in advance for your help.Normally, according to the speed calculation rules for dodging or reacting to attacks, the character being calculated must be significantly faster than the attacker. For example, if A dodges B's attack, A must clearly be much faster than B, or the feat must explicitly demonstrate a large speed advantage for the calculation to be accepted.
This leads me to a question. Suppose A and B have roughly comparable speeds, with A being only slightly faster. During their fight, B launches a surprise attack on A under circumstances where A has no opportunity to prepare—for example, by attacking from a blind spot or with an obstacle blocking A's line of sight. Even so, A is still able to react to or defend against the attack.
In a case like this, would this type of feat be valid for calculating A's reaction speed?
