Hmmm unordered:

8(Great): DSSkyrim, StitchRocket, VaderObito, GutsDimitri
7(Good): AntAtom, KilluaMisaka, PhoenixRaven
6(Ok): MMSS

I really dont care for emotional DB fights. Kinda lame when some characters get respect but others get AAAAAAIIIIIEEEEEd.

Tho quality wise, I guess you could add +1 purely from quality of effects being good, but ehhh Im not feeling eps this season too well tbh.

The episodes are tiered between each tiers. The leftmost ones being the best of that tier while the rightmost ones are the worst of that tier.

1. Vader vs Obito - Everything is perfect, the only downside is that the ending confused me a little and maybe some nitpicks about how certain parts look.
2. Stitch vs Rocket - It was fun and very good.
3. Guts vs Dimitri - It was very good, though some parts looked awful. Everything else is great, I liked the tone.
4. Dark souls vs Skyrim - It was very good, but I ******* hate the inclusion of those unfunny memes. I could live without Chosen Undead moaning, but here we are.
5. Killua vs Misaka - I liked the choreography a lot, but the sprite animation looked ugly. Death Battle still sucks at sprite puppetry. They never make it look natural or good. I would probably put it lower, but I am biased and glad that Toaru got into Death Battle. I hope Accelerator enters next time, I love him.
6. Antman vs Atom - It was a nice episode, but it had an ugly sprite animation, which will sadly continue to be the case for all capeshit matchups. Bad sprite puppetry with bad animation.
7. Manhunter vs Silver Surfer - Am I the only one who notices that recently we're getting a lot of capeshit episodes that are boring and have shitty sprite animation with even shittier sprite puppetry? The only good thing about this episode is the story it tells. The choreography is bad.
8. Phoenix vs Raven - The only good thing about this episode is that I am pretty sure it caused a researcher to have a meltdown over people pointing out that they should be more consistent with their scaling of both DC & Marvel's cosmology rather than have MEDIOCRE CAPESHIT EPISODE WITH EQUAL STATS NUMBER 428795
Death Battle when criticism, amiright?

I should mention that the top most episodes in my tier list are on similar spots to each other. I could probably change my mind and switch them around. Either way, they're very good.

Didn't post anything about Guts Vs. Dimitri because Rilo was Rilo and, I mean this totally unironically without any attempt to clown or poke the bear, really killed any hype or desire to talk about one of my main verses' first times on the show after so long. So that felt great.

But screw it...Really liked Gutsmitri, even though saying that is late, however the segments of 'speedy' attacks didn't sit right with me. Didn't like the track but it was one of those times where it could fade into the background and be acceptable instead of distracting me like other bad tracks, there's some really cool weighty hits that I can go back to. Ending had a cool idea but did NOT work for me, unfortunately.

Martian Manhunter vs Silver Surfer had a pretty eye-catching opener, but a majority of the fight did absolutely nothing for me. I really didn't end up liking it at all, with a few shots even making me double take. Lot of little details that were bothering me ontop of a fight where it felt like nothing was happening. REALLY liked the ending though, and that meta angle of the fighters seemingly dreading the realization they're in a Death Battle. It was interesting, and really good, so it frustrates me even more that it's in a fight animation that does absolutely nothing for me for the most part.

Both decent episodes, think I'd rank MMSS lower than Gutsmitri because of how much of it was uninteresting to me, but not sure where I'd actually rate them, might need to sit and think on some ratings for the whole season to sort out how I'm feeling.

Just watched Silver Surfer vs Martian Manhunter, and ngl...

I couldn't give less of a f u c k.

I had no care for this match at all. Some positives I will give is that their backstories are very tragic and sympathetic (especially Manhunter's) and the ending of the fight (despite it being subpar for the most part), was genuinely beautiful. The voice acting was solid, too.

Overall, 6/10. There's nothing particularly egregious about this episode, it's just that I don't care at all.

the track doesn't spoil anything
Anyways
Betting surfer

Anne vs Luz is so ******* mid, and it's only a popular MU because both respective shows have similar concepts about the MCs going through similar journeys dozens of other characters from different pieces of media went through.

The fight also has shit animation potential.

Dang, MMSS was kinda sad. Can't wait to see BillCord, after all these months of waiting.

Me, a Kymon fan, looking at Kymon being barely noticed:

It's an artificial matchup, not a natural matchup. It's a matchup that you get when you're trying to search for a character to fight another. Not a natural matchup that instantly comes to your head when you see that character.

Honestly I am glad it's not noticed anymore. It sucks and Simon has better opponents that aren't GENERIC CAPESHIT OMNIVERSAL DESTROYER THAT'S STRONGER THAN EVERY VERSE YOU KNOW

It wont matter ***** all for next time, but why isnt Bill's rift Low 2-C? Why 3-A?
L2C usually requires a universe & its spacetime/timeline to be affected, so maybe they argued that Bills rift would only destroy the universe but not it’s spacetime.

Is Raven still the strongest winner so far?
Solely by what DB has given stats wise in the episodes themselves, yes.

Not mine, i got it from discord posted from somebody, which in turn got it from reddit iirc

Connections:

\- Both are famous world-travelling martial artists.

\- They were raised by wise old masters alongside students as orphan children (Ryu was raised by Gouken, while Kenshiro was raised by Ryuken).

\- Both were trained in ancient fighting-styles specifically designed to murder with the word Fist in the English and Japanese translation (The Ansatsuken aka the Assassination Fist, and Hokuto Shin Ken aka the Divine Fist of the North Star).

\- Both learned how to use chi techniques alongside famous physical techniques.

\- Both their masters were killed by their master's family who used the same fighting-style, and serve as their main antagonis/rival (Akuma and Raoh respectively).

\- Both fight a large variety of opponents while helping people in need out of the goodness of their hearts.

\- Both have also met and fought opponents who use the same fighting-style as them and were raised alongside them on their journey (Ken and Jagi).

\- Both have instant kill moves that stems from the killing ideals from their fighting-styles and are multi-hit attacks (the Shun Goku Satsu, and the Hokuto Hyakuretsu Ken).

\- Both eventually achieve an ultimate state of being described to be a state of nothingness, which helps them defeat their main antagonist (Mu No Ken and Muso Tensei).
