Rule Violation Reports (New forum)

Our guidelines are very clear enough. I really can't think of a situation where someone seriously think sharing passwords to other users is "allowed".

It is like saying, ya I should not be punished because my small brother wrote n-word (or any not allowed slurs) in a vs thread because he couldn't accept the downplay to Gojo. It seems respectfully stupid excuse is my opinion.

Ya sure, if you did it, it is on your own risk and you are responsible for any possible damage but it is not permitted in any platform regardless.

But if I am outvoted here, it is fine by me either way. I just dislike adding unnecessary already clarified obvious unquestionable rules to our page.

Btw this is for our platform (forum and fandom), I am pretty much don't care about off-site ones (like discord or others). As far as I am aware, it does not concern our business here.

Thank you. I have unblocked Jordan's VSBW forum and Fandom accounts, and renamed his forum account to Jozaysmith? in order to make its username identical to the one he has in Fandom.

So for how long should we ban Jozay and Mizuki respectively? I would appreciate staff input here. 🙏
I dunno what you want me to say. Like I said, I think there's just straight up lying going on, and I think the fact that they're arguing it's someone else using his account compromises any defense offered.

I was telling the truth when I msged Garrixian. There was no lies involved here unless u talking about the time when star used my acc to defend me in this wiki. He tried to come up with excuses or reasons to not get this acc banned.

Okay. So for how long should we ban their accounts then?
I doubt most people would agree that they're likely engaging in sockpuppeting (even though I suspect that myself). I think a year for offsite harassment was sensible enough. As for Mizuki... I don't know. The main crime here appears to be (if we do not assume sockpuppeting to be going on) being extremely foolish and breaking Fandom TOS as a result.

What probably needs to happen, really, is that we need to fully ban all compromised accounts and reset the clock for the users affected by getting their names changed Forum-side to whatever it is they make their Fandom account called. And if it happens again, probably just a permanent ban. Even beyond the Fandom terms of service, that's an insane security risk on our behalf.

Yeah, they showed me their convo with AKM and he confirmed they are different people and allowed them to keep their accounts.

It's worth noting that it's not a fool proof method, as long as they have a willing accomplice.
Check the message I sent in staff chat, it contains a screenshot of their convo with AKM in a group chat back in October.

@AKM sama I don’t know if he’s gonna respond but he can confirm if it’s true or false.

Though, I recall something about Nanase having a conversation with Starfield in the server about 6 alternate accounts. @Mizuki67 You might want to explain that.
I only knew he had a few alts he commonly use in his discord server which are
Amobius(veldanava sama)/lll_timatima2(nah i,d win)/the shadow(gojosukunafraud) that's about it

I am very aware but it is common knowledge of every fandom user to not share their account to anyone else.

I mean, it is internet rule after all.

My point is, people know this fact and still do it simply means they are intending to do something malicious or something else.

Otherwise, I really can't see any excuse (or reason) to share your password to someone's else unless for administrative tasks or malicious intentions.

It is a password for a reason. Hell, even company/support services/banks don't ask for passwords for technical support, so like, it can't be more obvious.
We didn't share accounts on vsbw only fandom which is explicitly different since other wiki's exist
Did it only to make profilesprofiles
But am newly aware that it is noe forbidden so this wont repeat itself

Because @Antvasima tagged us and wanted to know who is who and he tagged 6 accounts
3 were belonging to us
The timeline is like this
I logged in using @Starfeldway>got phone stolen>got new one but forgot fandom account password>asked @Mizuki67 who formerly owned @Jordan69 which is this account to give me his and Jordan asked shinthemage to give him his since he logged off the wiki ages ago>started using it to do our stuff
And so on and so forth

I honestly think all of this would be far more convenient if you were all truthful about sharing accounts and Mizuki being a third party user. But I suppose, for your own convenience, you chose to lie. You, Starfield, said 6 alternate accounts but all I see are 5 accounts (4 of which, are yours and the other 1 is Mizuki’s) in the conversation. I don’t know where the other 2 went or were you bluffing about it, but nonetheless, I’m convinced enough you are all different people (and what to do about your other 2 accounts we haven’t found is up to a different case). Though, my lenience towards you two is only my opinion, I wouldn’t know what others will think especially since I’m a content moderator with no evaluation rights, unlike the admins and thread mods which most are supporting a yearly ban.

The other two people were two different people i had no idea of
They were separate category from us

And please we are only 3 accounts not 4 or 6
1 have been banned already

There were 2 different people not related to our case. We are not lying.

Alright, so that makes the missing account count to 4 now judging by your claims. I’m unfollowing this thread, I think I have given all my intel and if I’m needed for anything, a ping will be fine.

I think we need someone to explain it for us. We don't even know about those accounts. We only know about 3 accounts that is about it. Also I was confused just now what alts were u referring to.

Also there is no 6 accounts we only had 3 . You can check our ips if u want

Reporting @Deagonx for deleting my counterarguments made in this thread.

in no world should this be deemed acceptable for a staff member.
Take that to human resources.

Sharing accounts is extremely heavily disencouraged due to that it makes it extremely hard to prove that you are different people to our staff, who will otherwise have to ban all of them except for one, and it wastes considerable amount of staff time and creates confusion as a result, as we cannot be expected to remember all instances of it, but our system keeps giving us sockpuppet warnings.

So yes, an official message to all of our members: Never EVER share your accounts with other current or potential future members for the above-mentioned reasons. Thank you.

And giving your account to banned members to take over is obviously not allowed.
This looks like a good proposal to me.

Thank you. 🙏

Is somebody willing to find a good spot in our rule pages to place the following text then?

"Sharing accounts is extremely heavily disencouraged due to that it makes it extremely hard to prove to our staff that different accounts are used by different people. Our staff will otherwise have to ban all of the involved accounts except for one, and it wastes considerable amounts of staff time and creates confusion as a result, as we cannot be expected to remember all instances of when this occurred among many thousands of other tasks while our system keeps giving us sockpuppet warnings. As such, never EVER share your accounts with other current or potential future members for the above-mentioned reasons. Also, giving your account to banned members to take over is obviously not allowed."

Does the draft text above seem acceptable, or does it need to be improved further?
