It's strange because I'm using the text extraction tools linked in the Translation requests thread and it's coming out as:
"破壊神にも 肉破!?"

Which ChatGPT translates as:
"Even overpowering the God of Destruction!?"

Am I misunderstanding something here?

Oh I see, I guess the tool linked on the Translations thread messed up? I tried looking closer at the scan and it seems like the kanji you have is correct. Although for some reason what I end up getting with that is:

There must be some nuance there that ChatGPT is missing for me.

Depends. I don't know Japanese but the translations are coming out as 'the God of Destruction' rather than 'a God of Destruction'. If that's correct then that tells me it's specifically referring to Beerus rather than the level of a GoD. Which makes sense when Jiren was stated to surpass Belmod in power.

Freeza is probably around the level of Quitela, who could match Beerus after Beerus got worn down fighting several other GoDs at the same time. So in short, it's probably just the Beerus goalpost moving, not the GoD goalpost.

I can huff copium and say this is Freeza from like two years ago in-universe though. That's, what? Like 730 years of potential Time Chamber use?

Honestly, with how things are shaping up, the manga following pretty much exactly after the Super Hero movie, I'm guessing that the anime, if/when it continues, will follow exactly from the manga, thus merging the continuities from there, but that the DBS anime we got before will remain a seperate continuity, kind of semi-canon, in a weird sense. Never seen anything like it before but that's how it seems. Cause the DBS manga and anime are still way too different to just equate to each other, but the Super Hero movie and the manga are almost the exact same. The Broly thing in the manga that we saw for a brief time was also different from the movie quite a lot, so we can put that in the same spot as the anime. Ig. I'm glad they did that summary but like, if they're gonna do the whole damn Super Hero movie in the manga, literally why leave out the Broly movie? Back to main point though, yeah from this point onwards I'd just consider any statement about Goku and Vegeta being on Beerus' level to be obvious hyperbole, up until a point in the series where it seems to be plausibly legitimate finally. They're just gonna keep retconning it every time. At this point I'm starting to think that Beerus has passive plot manipulation transcending even the narrator's authority, which is why the narrator has no god damn clue how strong Beerus is apparently.

Anyways, hopefully Dragon Ball Diaper-I mean Daima or whatever won't make things any more confusing.
 
Also is no one talking about the new chapter or did I miss the entire discussion? Was pretty fire but Viz translating Special Beam Cannon/Maken-whatever to "Light of Death" rather than Special Beam Cannon is weird to me. I mean I know Light of Death is more accurate but Special Beam Cannon is literally iconic and the ONLY correct name in the English DB community, calling it by it's official names just sounds...pedantic, tbh.

I mean there is nothing new to talk about in it apart from gohan needing help from others to defeat cell max the rest was exactly like how movie played.do you think we will get a teaser for a new arc this month

Having those colored pages with so much detail was fire. Toyotaro kind of popped off with that. I enjoyed the chapter a lot even if the movie was similar. This thread is for more than just powerscaling discussions yk.

So, is Black Frieza truly above Beast Gohan? I feel like DBS characters always getting stronger physically, but their hax is rather... lacking, to put it simply.

Probably. Considering that Gohan said he wasn't sure if Goku and Vegeta could have beaten Cell MAX or not, that would suggest Beast Gohan may not be THAT much stronger than them, he clearly is stronger, but the extent is vague. Orange Piccolo is in a similar boat, just obv considerably beneath Beast Gohan. Meanwhile Black Frieza is treated as being unfathomably stronger than Goku and Vegeta. An entirely new league of power. Also if Beast Gohan was already on Black Frieza's level or at least relative, would that not invalidate the entire purpose of building Frieza up as the next big threat? Most likely, Goku and Vegeta will get a bit of a power-up to catch-up with Gohan and Piccolo, then team-up with Gohan and Piccolo to take Frieza out.

The way it's treated, in my eyes, is something like GoD tier>>>Black Frieza>>>>>Beast Gohan>>>Orange Piccolo>Goku>=Vegeta.

Also yeah their hax is lacking, canon DB hax has been lacking since Z for the most part cause majority of the fights are just "zoom zoom hard punch kick wow big energy go boom!" at this point with a bit of strategy here and there. It's why I still say that the fights in OG Dragon Ball were better. They were way more gimmicky and strategized with some actually unique abilities here and there to freshen it up. One of the main disappointments of the Moro Arc was how they built-up a magic user who'd clearly be utilizing some forms of hax like energy absorption and such to fight rather than dumbing it down to the usual simplistic choreography and whatnot. That didn't last too long.

Yet again GoD tier getting pushed and pushed. I don't know what they were cooking right now, but I wish to see the Dragon Team get haxed. Rather than just yet another multiplier. I don't even know what kind of power up Goku and Vegeta would get to close the gap between them and Frieza.

Updated my message with a new paragraph lmao.

Anyways I agree. I want some new hax. Vegeta is currently the most haxed member, but his abilities are very specific, and mostly it's just Forced Spirit Fission and damage boost in UE. But DB has long-since been dumbed down to "more energy go wowzers!". I don't think they'll get a new form (Goku and Vegeta I mean). They're probably going to just master their new forms which they should still be unused to.
 
I'm all curious what would happen after Frieza defeat, will DBS finally done or will it continue? End of Z is near and what would happen after End of Z, will they continue getting DBS connected to Heroes?

Will they introduced the Supreme Kai of Time?

Well, Goku learned back his basics which I don't mind with. Maybe Goku and Vegeta can absorb their strength to base. Like, TUI = Base Goku or UI (white hair) = Base Goku / UE Vegeta = Base Vegeta.

It's funny when game like Dragon Ball Xenoverse or Super Dragon Ball Heroes are the one whose both Introducing batshit insane transformation and broken hax as well.

I want that in DBS, combination of crazy strong physical strength and broken hax.

Hmmm, what do you think a hax that are inline with DBS? DBH has their own crazy broken hax and I'm curious what kind of hax would fit in DBS.

V-Jump mentioned techniques recently and the Ultra Instinct section alludes to the Ki Avatar thing being a completely subconscious evolution that Goku hasn't learned to do at will yet. And we see Gas using an ability like it, which managed to trick Goku's Ultra Instinct at times. What other Goku with an energy form do we know? Goku Black in Heroes, who has converted his body into godly energy granting him immortality, regeneration and high-level energy absorption skills.

I doubt it'd get as extreme as Heroes Black but I do think Toyotaro is aware of the similarity and may play into it.

I noticed something interesting. Hit Time-Skip and Time Cage in the DBS anime and manga can be overpowered by sheer raw power, but in the SDBH manga, Hit Time-Skip and Time Cage still affect being like Ultimate Godslayer Hearts and SDBH Merged Zamasu despite both are comfortably above CC Hit in power.
