Does it give resistance against Transmutation? I know Vegito still get turned into candy but he can pretty much does what normal Vegito does except launching Ki attack.

No, Vegito still get transmuted, it is just that he control his body, arguably everyone can do that even if they turned into candy by Buu, it is just that they can't fight back like Vegito due to huge difference in power

Plus I'm pretty sure it mostly due to Vegito simply being HIM since other characters that got transmuted were completely helpless (E.g: Dabura).

You think too small. Aeos will appear in the DBS manga this year and canonise Heroes. Canon Goku will scale to her, making Canon DB Low 1-C.

A reminder when this game was released (fall 2016, feeling old now?) the DBS anime was still ongoing with stuff like canon Broly, canon Gogeta, Piccolo getting god tier a buff, Gohan using the SBC,
XV2 has pretty much become the spiritual successor/sequel to DBO, I wouldn't be surprised if it became an official live service MMO like WoW or FFXIV in the future (It's likely the most successful anime game of all time, in terms of $$$).
