"Decanonize"? Dude, "canon" is nothing more than a continuity word, being in continuity with one series or another makes it "canon" to that continuity, Super manga clear is a continuation from the OG DB Manga, so it is as "canon" as Daima in that aspect, both are just not canon to eachother

Dragon Ball Online isn't canon and Akira helped with the story for that one iirc
The author doing it doesn't make it inherently canon, the author can fully do an one off story out of continuity with another work he did

there is nothing saying Daima is canon to Super, Akira never said it did, and the one quote you used to say it was... was from someone who iirc didn't even worked on it or the DBS Manga, in fact, DBS Anime is not canon to the OG DB Manga as well even if it used Akira's notes as basis, so like... yeah

canon it is whatever it is the confirmed story to follow, the correct one, continuity, seems like the narrative or things related to it.
both sound like they are the same...but i feel they are not, like, one thing can't be canon, but still be in the same continuity (example, a videogame having the same storyline has another...it is not canon however)or you have that tv series, that is unrelated to the source material, basically it is another continuity, but it is canon.
like you know what i mean, there are examples of things that are from the same continuity, but still not canon.

you continuously trying to shoot off any argument you disagree with by saying "it is ridiculous" in a different way will not make the points go away, as such... all this tells me is that you don't have a real point against them at all
Retcons only work if you assume that it is meant to be in continuity with Super to begin with... which you still need to show any proof for at all

yeah, Akira made the story of it, still doesn't say it is in continuity with Super tho, so again, show me where it is said that it is canon to Super
there is no such thing as "the correct story", what are you talking about?
if it is from the same continuity then it is canon to the said continuity, if it isn't then it isn't canon to the said continuity

I'm on the side of Daima not being part of the same continuity as either version of DBS, it should absolutely be canon to the original manga but kinda hard to say it's also canon to Super given the obvious glaring issues.

From my perspective, I like to imagine that Toriyama had not passed away last year, there would've easily been a second season for Daima that would've gone into more depth about certain contradictions in the story.
But as it currently stands? I acknowledge that Dragon Ball is a series that is known for having contradictions, I'd even argue that's a characteristic of the series, but Daima introduced contradictions that are far from being insignificant to the narrative (like Shin and Kibito being unfused at the start of Daima even though they were still fused in Super, Vegeta not using Super Saiyan 3 against Beerus, and Goku not using Super Saiyan 4 against Beerus during their first fight). And the frustrating thing is that because Toriyama is gone, and assuming Daima doesn't get a second season, we may not get a explanation.

yeah because the kaioken definitely is not a dumb thing that causes no problems...neither does Zamasu cloning himself...neither Master roshi being able to dodge attacks when, he should not be able to do that, all the events of the tournament of power and...ok you got the idea?

Yeah, that's don't make this Dumb, a series can have different Canon sequels that dont 100% follow each other, it don't make It dumb.

well then dragon ball definitely is doing it the dumb way, both are canon, even if the stories play out different, even if the events are different, even if the transformations are different, yes both are canon (this is dumb)

Super anime and Super manga are not Canon to each other.
They homever, are Canon sequels to the manga, being two different continuities.

You open your argument by saying these things are issues without saying why, and then you question me as to why they aren’t problems, what counter argument is there to make??
This is not an issue, like at all, this is just something the anime decided to add in it’s not a plot hole or anything.
You’re basically saying any difference the anime and manga make is a problem of the canon, even though both aren’t canon to each other so neither is important to the other

a way to do a harmless gag will be like, make Goku eat the bugs and then, he turns into a bug, but the all powerful eye that basically grans you unlimited power and regeneration and adaptation...can be bought in the convenience store?at least angelic weapons can be bought to a overlord and you need to have tons of money.

I can't wait to see the DB or DBZ kakarott site mention that Dragon Ball Daima is canon once again (besides the title itself anime, website and the akio iyoku talking about Dragon Ball Daima having connections with all the works)
