Hello

Star Wars Legends (Verse Page) Sandbox

Basically this is the crt to finally separate the Canon and Legends pages from each other, because they are very mixed. This crt does not update any statistics or P&A, it is just a separation of the information.

The most important thing that will happen is that only fully Legends profiles will be moved to this new page. Composite profiles like Leia Organa Solo's will have all their Legends information erased (including vs threads) and no new profiles will be created. Why? Because there is not much Legends information to be saved in 99.9% of these profiles. Without scans, references, etc., Leia's own profile is an example.

Legends already has many individual profiles that are already very outdated and of low quality, we don't need more. It would be much better to just save the Legends information from these composite profiles and only create profiles when they are well updated.

And that's what I did, I saved all the composite profiles in their entirety in this sandbox (SWLegendsProfiles sandbox). Legends supporters can use it, and create these Legends profiles when they are updated in the sandbox.

There is actually one exception, the lightsaber page. Besides this page being one of the only technology pages that has a separation between Canon and Legends through the " | ", it is quite important, so I will just create a copy of it but only with the Legends part and link to the verse page.

One last detail is that the Legends page category will be "Star Wars (Legends)" and the profiles linked to it will also have this category (they changed from the "Star Wars" category to "Star Wars (Legends)"

Now I will do a Q&A for possible questions about the crt.

Q&A:
But in some fully Legends profiles, the justification is the link to some composite profile.

- Ah, yes that. I will just remove the link, since the linked profile will be completely canon. For example Kento Marek who has a link to Darth Vader's profile in his AP justification. I will just remove the link. When Vader's Legends profile is created, the link will be put back in.

What about profiles that have fully-composed P&A like Grand Admiral Thrawn?

- I'll leave the P&A untouched. Since the profile will become fully canon, the profile (along with the P&A) can be revised later.

There are fewer profile squares on the Legends page, why?

- On the original page there were many profile squares with links that led to non-existent/empty pages. I filtered this out and put only profile squares that actually exist on the new page (except for one, which is the last one).

Why are the supporters section and so on on the new page empty?

- I don't know if I can change that, and there are some that I don't know if they are canon, legends or both. So I guess they'll have to change their own information for the new page?

If I am informed that I can change the list of supporters, etc., I will change it on the page.

What about the technologies, weapons, etc.?

- I don't think any of them (except for the lightsaber) have Canon and Legends separations like the character page. For example, the pages "Death Star 1, Death Star 2, Blaters", these pages only have one or two Legends things in a very small way. This information will be deleted and I will play in the sandbox legends I made, but regarding AP, speed and durability of these weapons, I will assume that they are only Canon.

The CRT is not perfect, I will almost certainly miss things, but I can change them later over time.
I think I've done the Q&A of possible answers, I think I've covered everything? Well, I can add more Q&A if someone mentions something in the crt that I missed.

Thanks: I'd like to give a shout out to @LordTracer for providing a draft of the Legends page he made years ago.

Absolutely love to see it. I fully agree with splitting Canon and Legends into separate pages, and I’m honestly not sure why it wasn’t done to begin with. I mean, Luke got separate Canon and Legends pages, why did no one else get the same treatment

To be honest Legends should've always been a separate thing. They're two entirely different canons with vastly different characterization for multiple people. So I'm good with the profile splits.

So you guys agree with the idea of legends information being deleted and profiles only being created later? Like, there won't be things like Vader and Sidius legends profiles for a while until supporters prepare and create those pages. I thought that would be quite controversial.

Regarding the list of supporters and knowledgeable members, should I leave it empty?

Tbf I feel like Sidious could just have his profile split now, but aside from him, yeah, I’m fine with just deleting the others and having the profiles remade later. In fact, I was already planning on remaking some profiles once I got more free time.

Agree with everything.
The original idea of splitting the profiles was actually already accepted in another thread, it is just a matter now of actually going through with it and splitting the profiles.
I still have a lot of boost despite creating several SW crts. So I can do this quickly.

I'm sorry this messes up your CRT, as the Legends stuff from Anakin's profile will be deleted, but I think you can link your CRT when you create the profile again?

I'll leave the Sidius issue to the Legends supporters, but okay?

What about the list of supporters and knowledgeable members? Should I leave it blank and let the supporters change their page names, or should I try to change them?

Feel free to transfer those that have specified on the list itself something like “primarily the EU” or “primarily Legends” and then just leave the rest for people to transfer it themselves.

Okay, I think everything was applied.

EDIT: I just wanted some staff to answer me about what I do about the list of supporters and knowledgeable members, if I try to move them or if I leave it empty.

There may be things I missed, or forgot to add (in this case, the Legends category), among other minor things, but overall, that's it.

I had to edit over 80 profiles, and I got tired, so there will probably still be things to fix regarding this CRT. But I think these minor things can be fixed over time.

Thank you all for your time. See you next Star Wars CRT.

May the Force be with you....

I think you could ask in the general SW thread for people to add themselves/if they want to be added in either one you can add me in both, btw

Since the thread otherwise has already been implemented, will be closing this.
