in CQC Yuji will stomp with his mobility & h2h, his damage boost is gonna throw her off majorly.

her speed amp ability WOULD make her blitz Yuji and just 2-3 shot him, but with 10 meters of distance, could she even use it before it gets closed in?

Yuji does have a couple of ways to boost his ap

Divergent Fist gives a damage boost but there is also black flash which could help (Granted we cant really utilize the modifier since its stated as an exponential crit) but it is there if he can land it

question is in regards to curse energy manipulation, now yuji was around the case for being Grade 1 before the culling games but its mostly with the basic abilities a user of CE gains. At a basic level Sorcerers get this as one of the features

• Analytical Prediction (Jujutsu Sorcerers are able to analyze their opponent's attacks by analyzing the cursed energy flow

since characters in RWBY have an aura that is by the life force or the soul, could Yuji utilize Analytical Prediction in the fight?

Yuji does skill stomp hard and has ways to boost his attack but I do want to discuss about this

depends on if the system in RWBY is too different from CE or not.

CE is just a spiritual energy made up of negative emotions, take of that what you will.

it should work similarly enough to where Id guess that it can work in this fight, which gives Yuji a unique advantage

1) her duraneg seems to be only for Grimm so not sure on how effective it is against Yuji


But also Im trying to remember since it has been long, how does Ruby usually start her fights? Because I dont remember if she goes in for cqc w crescent rose or if she goes to sniping

Yes, silver eyes only work on Grimm it won't effect Yuji at all, even if it did he looks nothing like a grimm so trying it wouldn't make sense.

At ten meters she more than likely would go for close quarters.

Also equalize speed, ftl vs subsonic.

Speed it took me off guard when I didn't see it almost every match has it.

She got a crazy lifting strength advantage, range and durability advantage, ontop of a forcefield. And there's still the speed amp.

range is taken care of by Yuji simply being nimble, he'll close that extended melee range.

durability is tricky, but I think Yuji's damage boost(s) could bridge that gap. unless ruby upscales from her value. Also, CE strikes have pain manip, that could also help

Off topic but seeing that CE has pain manip and sorcerers have resistance to pain manip

Shouldnt hakari have enhanced or layered pain manip than just limited?

I don't have any links to it, I just remember there being a lot of CRTs in the past to make these guys cracked. Even if its not BS levels of skill, Yuji isn't some master martial artist and most of the competent fighters from RWBY would wash him in actual combat skill.

That was wank, but I still think the skill here is incomparable. It’s a weapon / gun master vs martial arts, Rwby’s just going to stay at range

Due to Rwby being the faster of the two, she can use her speed amp, meaning she could just leave Yuji’s range and be out of it forever, so I don’t see how he doesn’t get shot down.

However, I am being extra generous to Yuji, what stops him from being immediately impaled through the head by a scythe with 2 times ap behind it and the opponent being blitz levels faster whenever she wants. Like don’t forget she has a slashing weapon with a big physical advantage. That should just stab into him and thus kill him.

yeah this is the aspect that just makes Ruby stomp. Yuji's punches are painful & boosted yeah, but being nimble wont save u from a blitz amp lol
