Hello.

Currently, Godzilla Earth is listed as being, at the minimum, continental in his 50 meter state and by extension, multi-continental in his 300 meter state. This is based off of this calculation of him vaporizing the Bay of Bengal in the Monster Apocalypse novel.

One issue. He didn’t do that.

This blog is where the translations for the novel that this wiki uses for the anime trilogy stem from, being linked on Godzilla Earth’s page. You may notice that they’re rather spotty, most likely MTL. One such instance is where this feat is centered, “Bay of Bengal vanished”. The translation in the calc blog, although not as janky, still states that. So let’s look at that snippet, isolated.

インド防衛線を突破し進行を再開、ベンガル湾に消える。

This is saying he disappeared into the Bay of Bengal, as in stepped into it and dipped. Not that he made it disappear. Checked in the translation requests thread for good measure. I linked the page with the raw text, so you may double check yourself (the 2046 section of the first page). This feat of Godzilla Earth vaporizing the Bay of Bengal plainly and simply does not actually exist, and thus should not be listed.

As for what to do, my pitch is scrapping everything below the 5-B rating listed on his profile. As well, shifting the inconsistent multiplier on the profile between 50 and 300 meter to a clean ten times on the basis of his weight and how his increased power is described as being based on his cells, as suggested by Arceus0x

Other affected profiles:

Agree: DarkDragonMedeus, LephyrtheRevanchist, Qawsedf234, Godernet
Disagree:

ouch, agree with the removal...

but maybe it'll be easier to scale GE to 5-B instead? It's already on the profile and it is consistent (going from 5-B to High 5-A with charged up energy makes far more sense than going from 7-A to High 5-A, doesn't it?).

Personally I prefer the 7-A, mainly because burying him under the Himalayas did delay Godzilla for a year, which makes it seem like he couldn’t just shoot his way out instantaneously, but I’ll add scrapping every rating below planet level as an option in the OP.

over time yes, otherwise it'd be 5-B.
20000 yo GE is 6x baseline 5-B.
He’s not in the profile tho, for some reason? He’s not even the multiplier listed for the continental to multi-continental, he’s just a clean 20 times baseline.

I think the Himalaya thing is an outlier. I mean if he is 7-A he should've melted them instantly.
The reason I think this happened is because it is a Godzilla cliche. Remember how Godzilla and others keep getting trapped in the most random places?
Godzilla despite having the heat ray in Showa gets trapped in an Iceberg of all places. Godzilla in Heisei gets trapped in a volcano on accident. FW Godzilla gets trapped in antarctic ice. MV Ghidorah got trapped in antarctic ice (suggested to be Shimo's doing but still, the guy is 6-B minimum, how did that happen?). In short, it is a consistent Godzilla cliche that despite his insane power he gets trapped in random locations and just kinda chills there until he gets bored. Same happens here.

Mut've misremembered sorry.

There is probably going to need to be a separate thread on how much stronger Godzilla got from 50 to 300 meters, just because like I said, there’s two separate multipliers for him listed and used at once. One thing at a time tho.

His weight increased from 10000 to 100000. Since we're using size due to the amount of cells he has producing electricity, the weight is the truest form of figuring it out. This means he has a 10x multiplier.

Nice and simple, sounds good to me, I will replace the multiplier in the OP with that.

Hmmm…No, these aren't "Outliers" per se but just cases of "Plot-Induced Stupidity" (PIS).

This has happened across 70 years in the whole Godzilla franchise; for example, kaiju on Godzilla's level dying by low-level nukes, among many others I can think of…

y'think the 5-B only end is the better one now or do you still think the 7-A is better for you?
I do agree scrapping everything below 5-B would be best. For the sake of making this go more smoothly I will trim the OP once more.

Edit: Alright, hopefully that looks good.

We can just do math
  • 5 years = 3.18860918950944439e+38 Joules
  • 3.18860918950944439e+38 / 5 / 365.25 / 24 / 60 / 60 = 2.0208186e+30 Joules (Low 5-B)
For the thread 7A, likely 5-B is fine with me. But I'm noy against a 5-B rating either I guess.

Well in the end I think with this 5-B is basically a given as we basically have 2 things that are tier 5 now. Thanks.

Thanks for making this calculation. (y)

So young Godzilla Earth should be Low 5-B? Or do I get the things wrong?

no, the 5-B statement comes from young GE. This is just a supporting thing.

Anyways I think we've got to wait like 24 hours now til the 48h grace period ends and then we can change things.
