I raised him as a possibility and it's certainly much closer than most. But it boils down to:

1) Fusion Timer
2) Gotenks's inexperience
3) Gotenks's recklessness
4) Gotenks's relative lack of skill

So I'm not so sure that AP advantage of like 5x is necessarily enough for him to win. But it is worth noting Clark is probably not going to want to badly harm a small child so he's extremely unlikely to go for his Super Flare or lasering his brain if he can help it. That gives Gotenks some leeway in messing around.

If you use Post-RoSAT Gotenks, then this stops being a close match and just becomes a stat stomp in Gotenks’ favor. Clark’s best arguments at that point are his LS, durability, and broader toolkit, not raw AP.
