Yep, seems so. Homelander can't attack Slenderman while having nausea and "splitting headaches" while getting hit with Pain Manipulation especially when Slender man is intangible and can go invisible.

It'd be out of character for Slender Man to instantly hax someone to death. It only does that if the opponent is heavily aware of his existence, (Such as knowing who is to a deeper extent than someone normally would) people who barely know of his existence he's far more willing to be using social influencing and such.

Low awareness = Less hax - We're roughly here, as Homelander only knows about his intangibility.

High awareness = he'll felay you alive any means necessary

This is 2x the headache he should've had by being in his presence . It says "barest knowledge". I'm unsure if his Intangibilty is an activated ability but by how its described, I think that's just Slenderman's physiology.

You need to have more than just some for Slender Man to immediately try to insta incap with hax. It's infinitely more in character for Slender Man to try and social influence and basically make john give up and Slender Man kidnapping John than it is for him to use his most powerful hax off the bat in this scenario.

He can interact with and kidnap children just fine without incapacitating them, and even gets people to do whole murders and such for him so it's something he can control. John hasn't seen a photo of it nor has he ever encountered it before (both things that would put someone on the "gonna flay them alive" list of Slender Man) so unless John does something that makes Slender change his mind about manipulating him, he should be trying to SI john.

I think someone like The Knight could do something against the skinny man, Slenders got a 3.5x AP advantage against it and if Knight’s too haxxed you could just restrict their charms.
