They’re both similarly physically intractable and wonky to actually treat seriously; the Sun Disc is just basically wrong math, the Oregon sword wrong physics.

So incompetently doing the calculations vs. getting the principles completely wrong necessary to even do the required calculations in the first place. Take your pick for which one is more egregious.

Speedy finger wagged Dragon Ball fans about how basically they don't know how good they got it because Death Battle 'ignores' Dragon Ball's outliers and brought up King Piccolo being city level.

It was to defend against the point that the sun disc calc being that high is way beyond the Viltrum bust, which could've killed Nolan.

IDK I think you can make an argument that at least they’re similar given the sheer amount of loops you need to jump through over the other. “Denji scales to this thing whose unworkable physics we can just smudge into large enough numbers (even though he got torn in half by it at the same time), so he wins” is at least very bad in mental gymnastics compared to the conclusion that a much more tractable (but wrong) calculation gave enough tons of TNT to sway the conclusion (the Sun Disc). Unless we’re saying the researchers blatantly rigged the episode.

Can't tell if your being obtuse or not

Denji doesn't need Oregon to win

Nolan needed sun disc to win

Sun disc single handedly turned around what was a stomp

Their impact is not even remotely comparable

It's closer in comparison to Maka being scaled to Asura's madness pressure feat, because they outright ignored the immediate next page that said it was actively killing her and would have killed her if not stopped, like how they scaled Denji to clashing with the Oregon sword and ignoring the next panel where it shattered his chainsaws and cut him in half
