DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

I mean you kinda already answered your own point right there. He's seen that way in 'current' publication, not how he was seen way back when research on this probably started.
Thing is that there was nothing that ever actually said that reality being unstable was why Prime could do what he does, that was always just cope made by people trying to downplay him. Originally it may have just been him punching that dimensional wall but by Death Metal it was pretty obvious that him being able to retcon stuff was meant to just be an ability that he has, not something that required reality to be all screwed up for him to pull off.

I am admittedly not as familiar with Prime, but weren't the events of Death Metal where he fought TDK roughly similar to reality screweyness that the Crisis events were as well? I'm not saying that Prime can't retcon punch outside of such conditions, but as far as I know until recently his only showings of the Punch were under those sort of conditions, which is why I can see people making those sort of arguments.

And obviously I'm not entertaining arguments on the Sentry side of things that amount to "well if he can retcon punch at will how does he ever get beaten" because that's:
A) not how the power works
B) not how good writing works either

Did the new Deltarune chapter change anything?
A bunch of travel speed feats to calc and mountains as well as a sun in the background. This means the scaling to the titans could potentially get from mountain to star lvl (the sun is more easily arguable to be real than the starry skies).

Thats certainly a quote to use :V

Weird Route is going to go Omega hard on meta elements.
Do any of these buffs do anything for Susie? I just want to know for an MU

Talked about this over with a friend, and he's raised some good points:

Death Battles like these, where the combatants are of such sufficient power levels, would eventually come down to their differences. He cites Hulk vs Godzilla, Wally West vs Archie Sonic, one of the categories of Goku vs Superman 3, and Simon vs Kyle Rayner. The most prominent of them being Scarlet Witch vs Zatanna and his explanation was that they'd equalize Prime's retcon punching to be on a similar level to statements of base Sentry being just as bad if not worse than House of M in terms of cosmology breaking and altering. Using their rationale of Wanda's House of M affecting Marvel's cosmology to be on par with Zatanna's spells countering Pralaya who was the darkness before creation.

We already know that based off of the previews that they're setting up Prime and Sentry to have similar/comparable powers and physical stats to counter each other so it'd be a non-factor here.

I wonder if they've realized that this specific image of the Sentry that they're using for the thumbnail isn't actually official and it was fanart posted to twitter.

The AP yes, but I don’t think the meta stuff changes much. I don’t think she specifically has any travel speed feats, but she could maybe scale to combat speed if the travel speed carries over. I am not in the depths of powerscaling enough to know.
