At least with Mori Jin, things get more debatable as Mori Jin has similar-ish high ends and Mori Jin has a lot more abilities to bounce off of if they choose to use Heroes Goku.
Saitama, outside of resistances, just doesn't offer much that would make for an interesting fight with Goku, debate and animation potential wise.

Saitama punched and managed to cause time travel, can touch portals, enter mindscape, did gag feat in bonus art and WoG implies he is 3-A universal by VSW stats iirc.
Its a pity win but its not as bad as it used to be.

A Matchup I do want in DB is Rayne vs Selene - which was very popular in Early DB. But I don't think its going to happen. Both are very early 2000s characters who don't have much mainstream appeal anymore, and Rayne just stomps Post-BR2 with FTL and Town Level Feats and outhaxes with everything.

Saitama vs Goku is ass but I can see why DB would do it. Finally breaking the Goku L streak, it'd be easy to make into a "Hype moments and Aura" type of fight animation that fans enjoy (going by all the Saitama vs Goku animations on youtube over the years), and most importantly it'd very easily net a gazillion views.
Though it'd be one of the most brutal stomps in the show's history by GvS3 stats (Trillions of Universes/Immeasurable speed vs Galaxy level/low-end MFTL). Goku even slams in tertiary factors (Experience, Skill, Versatility, ect) because he's fighting a punch merchant.

Sonic is too much of a shit show even if ignoring the debate not to mention where both. Character coming off from
Goku potential going 0-4 or sonic eating another L when folks are still mad over Mario 2 having either loss would just continue to feed either fanbase loathing and bitching of the show.

Ok, in all seriousness, I do get your point (especially with the DR calcs, like the KE stuff is some SUPREME bs), but I also think there’s enough legitimate feats in there for DB to analyze outside of the more iffy ones
Like, for UT, we got Ice Cap’s ice creation, Mettaton busting the wall, characters running to places in seconds, Pyrope’s bombs, the elevator feat, etc.
And for DR, even without Titan Dark World scaling or KE wank, there’s still some decent arguments they can use, like Tenna heating up the battlefield, the blatant sound and electricity dodging, the Titan’s PE, etc.
