Was going through Herms's Strength Checker, and Roshi does, indeed, assert "Goku will never beat [Tien] with a Kamehameha!!" and "The Kamehameha itself doesn't work against him, no matter how powerful it is…", which may imply Tien directly scales above the Moon-Destroying Kamehameha, either via sheer strength or via Tri-Beam; although, considering by the time Roshi made the comment, Tien had already exhausted his life energy using the Tri-Beam, I am inclined to believe the former condition. That, and Roshi also describes Goku as possessing zero weaknesses, which may also imply he has transcended Roshi's own ability, which Roshi later posits himself.

Not really, if it was AP dependent then Roshi wouldn't say "The Kamehameha itself doesn't work against him, no matter how powerful it is…" aka, even if it was stronger than Tien, it would still not work

The Soul stuff isn’t stated, just the atoms. Presumably, he referred to Shenron’s revival, just as Piccolo Jr. did in the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai. Even if he didn’t, he specifies he’s preventing revival through atomic attack, which walls it off from being a spirit targeting attack. Also-also, Soul Destruction isn’t the same as Existence Erasure on Wiki, I believe.

Kiai is accepted as an ability that sends a shockwave through strength or ki pressure, and it is used, among other things, to reflect attacks back. Meaning it is an AP dependant thing (also accepted in the Ki Manipulation page on the wiki).
Roshi saying "no matter how powerful it is" is your usual NLF right there.

Yeah. That makes way more sense than Kiai being capable of reflecting any beam-like attack regardless how powerful it is with a shockwave which comes from his own ki or gesture.

I mean, Krillin's hypotetical was just that, yet Roshi's answered saying how power doesn't matter, the techniquenic itself doesn't work, the Kamehameha is way more powerful than Goku's normal attacks, his physical strenght is comparable to Tien. So by all accounts his charged Kamehameha should be stronger than him, yet Roshi still said it wouldn't work

It would just be resistance to atomic attack. Which Ki gives you anyway, typically, so long as the attack is weaker than you. Like how Trunks “blasted away Frieza down to his atoms” according to the Daizenshuu. It’s just hitting your opponent with Ki so hard their bodies get super duper vaporized. Not all that special, really. (Also meaning it’s not even really resistance to atomic attack).
The main meat and potatoes would be walling off/negating resurrection (which again, likely isn’t an actual feature of the blast), and that was stated to happen DUE to said atom smashing. Just wouldn’t really net you anything.
Which leaves its spatio-temporal properties. Which is already recorded on GT Goku’s profile.

This still doesn’t necessarily change what Null said, since what he said is still taking into account that the kamehameha would increase his power. The thing is he does this by utilizing kiai which is just a pressurized energy attack. So that means that Tien’s energy attack can deflect the kamehameha.

Either way, this still doesn’t address how he’s literally doing it via a kiai. Which yes, a kiai scales to your physicals it’s not some charged life-draining move it’s literally an invisible pressurized blast. The super kamehameha in BoZ raises Goku’s BP 2.2x, so an attack that raises Goku’s power somewhere between 1-2.2x not working on him isn’t an issue. When the version Goku uses in BoZ is vastly superior to the one is this tournament.

Kiai is a quick ki blast that pressure the air to create shockwave, it is still Ki-based attacks, and Ki scales to physical, if Tien has enough ki to creates a strong enough pressure to deflect the Kamehameha, he scales

High 8C Roshi can multiply his power to moon level with a Kamehameha. We need to apply this shittillion times boost to the rest of the series because surely there is no way that's wrong
