Character and Verse Discussion Thread

I'd prefer a description that's not as blatant as "it was an infinite distance away"

It's more a way to describe it that I'm looking for here.

Is anyone else annoyed by their verse being compared to others (official verses)?

It's so annoying when people take things a bit far too seriously and treat OCs as FCs simply due to similarities to other characters. And there's nothing wrong with FCs, but there is a clear distinction between the two.

Fan-Character example: Goku's niece (daughter of Raditz) who somehow made it to Earth and survived Planet Vegeta's destruction.

Original Character example: A character inspired by Goku that has a niece (daughter of his brother), that survived their planet's destruction etc.

I remember when people kept comparing Fate's verse to Umineko...it got irritating and I'm not even the one doing the series!

I hate that as well. It gets very annoying.

For example: Kira is heavily based on Ezra Scarlet. Does this mean all of Yuracion Absolon is Fairy Tail fanfic?.....No....

Yes it is very annoying. When I start talking about "living planets" people automatically start thinking Nasuverse (Types/Ultimate Ones) despite SO many different franchises having such a concept (Marvel for example), not to mention the Types aren't even living planets, they are the strongest beings from their respective planets. What I'm talking are literal celestial bodies that orbit space. People get so fixated with similarities to the Nasuverse (of which I admit there are plently) that they don't even see the blatant similarities to other verses (Bloodborne, Magi, Harry Potter, AQ, etc.).

People are just very quick to call accuse things of being rip offs and such without actual knowledge of the series.

Lol. It's all good.

Low tier character with good hax > high tier character with typical abilities characters of that tier have by default.
