Differences between Type 8 and Type 9

Okay, maybe I making this seem harder than it is, but this differentiation is very odd.

From what I've heard Type 8 is reliant on something else while Type 9 is reliant on yourself. But at the end of the day isn't that still Reliant Immortality i.e Type 8? And even then, how does one kill those with Type 9 who so happen to have a higher tier than their avatars? And finally, does everyone who can create avatars get Type 9 or what?

It's type 8, only reliant on yourself.

It's honestly a meaningless difference and should just be Type 8

Only reason there's a difference is because of the fact that we're a character indexing site.

Type 9 doesn't rely on anything I think. It's just existing in a different plane of existence (not necessarily a higher dimension) so it's difficult to affect you.

For example, Madoka can't interact with the multiverse at all without M-bodies, due to the different plane of existence thing. If you kill a M-body, she doesn't die just because you haven't actually attacked her, not because she can't die.

Type 8 is when your existence is reliant on someone or something else.

An example is Reinhard Heydrich from the Masadaverse

Type 9 is when a being's true self lives independently from the plane in which they are killed.

An example is Mercurius's Sensory from the Masadaverse
