Dispatch General Discussion Thread

yeah I think its for the neutral romance ending, but that scene is funny as they have basically the same facial expressions as normal, I think someone might have messed up the rendering for it.

Making Robert like a sociopathy 😭
Its just reused animations, but I love the idea that Blazer is putting on a corporate smile while incredibly confused and upset and Robert is just a complete sociopath 🤣

idk if it was already said but i'ma say it anyway, the villain invisigal fights in the donut shop it's called "lightning struck" or smtng, is it usable?

I think my only real problem with the game as it is right now is that some choices feel pretty undercooked.

The best example is whether or not you tell the team that you're Mecha-Man in Episode 5. To be blunt, the party scene in Episode 6 just straight up does not make sense if you didn't tell the team the truth. I've seen people try to cook up explanations for it, but they all seem pretty flimsy to me.

Speaking of Episode 6, there's also other weirdness there. Namely that Chase calls you out for dating Invisigal... even when you aren't? I went for Visi on my first save, so it made sense there. But then on my second save I went for Blazer, and yet he said the same thing. So it's, like, unc what are you talking about?
Thats one of the unfortunate cons for many choice based games, not just telltale games, but others at times too

Some choices have little to no affect later on, ofc some games will make you be unable to outrun a killer 3 chapters later if you slipped on a banana at the start hurting your legs, but some stuff are superficial

I willing to be forgiving since its their game as a studio.

but yeah some choices could lead into more unique outcomes. idk what the production was like but iirc it was supposed to animated series.

The party scene has some problems with it.

If you tell everyone you are mecha-man, they are aware don't make a big deal out of it. But if you don't they give you a shocked expression but in that same scene Royd called you mecha-man when setting up the computer but Malevola doesn't but is played in the scene as aware or unconcerned.

I don't think his words inherently mean dating, I think its just directed at her for who she is and how she acts, affecting the rest of the team and chase is protective of Robert since he doesn't want something happening to him. I think the team dev thought the same dialogue could apply for the scene, I'll need to rewatch both route again the double check

Looks like mostly 9-B to 9-A, Mecha Man’s suit will probably have an at most Town level.

Supersonic for a few characters, but for most it’s like Superhuman.
With speed, there's also some extra stuff that hasnt been properly looked up yet but could do something for it, at least for combat speed even if it doesnt affect overall speed - Prism is explicitly able to shoot lasers and manipulate light for maybe SOL attack speed, and Robert might have a potential relativistic reaction speed feat from episode 5 (the main obstacle being "does this heat beam thing that is deflecting right off of a mirror, moving in a straight line, and meeting a few other criteria, count as a beam of light")

I'm honestly praying there's no traitor, not just for storytelling reasons but also because. I don't want any of frens to be evil :(
we need to know who leaked the position of the Astral Pulse and possibly the real identity of Shroud, since this one is most likely a fake. In the last comic Chase talks with Robert II saying that Shroud is the one who created the Astral Pulse, so why should he now try to steal it? Why didn't he create a new one?

Ik I wasn't the one asked but I saw another thread saying absorbing the sun's energy would be High 6-A, something like 91 Petatons of TNT worth of energy, btw
Well that's a seconds worth of energy, he said he'd completely absorb it and leave the planet in total darkness so this is gonna be solidly tier 5~4

Okay yeah I see, that definitely gives a much higher implications and gives insane upper power limits statement for him
That said, even ultra-lowballing it and assuming a whole year as the time frame required, that still puts him at (149,000,000,000m / (365.2425 * 24 * 60 * 60)) / 343 = Mach 13.77.
Unknown time frame technically makes it incalculable, but I feel like this insane lower bound should be acceptable.

Lonks Takes put him at star level and said he bodies Omni Man 🤣

Like alright man calm down it's just one statement, maybe wait till we have a little more evidence.
I literally dont understand wtf you mean with this comment, genuinely dont, i just asked how much from his claim it is tier wise

Lonk Tales is a powerscaling youtube channel and he's explaining that he's saying scales Phenoman to be Star level which would just be the highest upper limit interpretation

I just realized that if there is a traitor, then it most likely is my boy Royd
i think we are assuming a lil too hard considering never in the game someone acted suspiciusly, and we are just basing our idea of "traitor" cuz we are most of the time there's one in this kind of media

i mean, if there's nothing against that statement or the output of the sun is a lil above that that's a good hight end
eccoci qua
did vsbw just translated your messagge or did you just wrote in italian?
