DOOM Discussion Thread

Wow, so no DOOM discussion in the doom discussion thread. I wasn’t triple posting nor yelling, I was replying to different replies. I didn’t break the rules— I haven’t attempted to downgrade Davoth based off the idea that he wasn’t at full power, which is what the rules you linked say, I’m just pointing out all this “lore scaling” is either misrepresented, lies or completely falsified. I also haven’t attempted to upgrade the cosmology, clearly, so I haven’t broken either of those rules.

Banning anyone who dares challenge your biases and scaling isn’t a good look. Sorry for daring to powerscale on the powerscaling site I guess.

And no one has yet to give proof that Slayer powers his guns up and the dark ages explicitly makes it clear he gets custom made upgraded guns which makes that idea completely stupid. It was stupid in the first place, he should’ve just powered his guns up to get through those tentacles in Eternal— which is a PLOT POINT, not gameplay mechanics— or just shoot the Titan that beat up those Atlans in Dark ages, but no, I guess Doomslayer wanted to hold back and let people get killed for funsies?

You brought up nothing but pointless filler arguments that are just repeats of things brought up numerous times was the issue. While also overlooking actual blatant feats such as Father and Davoth shaking the Jekkad. Both of whom Doomslayer upscales from as of Ancient Gods.

Posting Just like how you just did is textbook definition of quadruple posting, you could have simply edited your post. Or highlighted bits and pieces to respond in one big post. And I never said you couldn't argue at all period, I meant do not necro old posts that were already countered countless/innumerable times and instead bring up something new.

I am not the one who upgraded it, that was @Firestorm808 who wrote the most recent revision for Doomslayer; though forgot to upgrade the numerous profiles pages who scale it seems. Not once have I ever banned anyone for disagreeing with me, majority of those who worked hard, or multiple staff who agreed with upgrades; that would be a self fulfilling prophecy + strawman to say so. It's being a selfish jerk to people or a condescending egomaniac that gets people warned and eventually banned if they persist despite warnings.

Firestorm has listed the details multiple times actually; the ability to empower his fire arms with his rage that argent energy happens to be interlinked with.

the fact that you came in here, with all this bravado, not even knowing the sources of where these claims come from says enough.
I can debate you on this in VC on discord, and provide you with all the proof you're asking for.

I know all the sources you speak of. Most of them are lied about— such as the one from the artBook on Slayer’s profile regarding he “collapsed multiverses” which is not at all what’s happening and is a straight up misinterpretation of what the art book said. None of them are INGAME. The games actively disprove them.

I only debate via text as it’s simply better and not prone to talking over eachother and easier to compose.

Hades 2 in general is a fantastic game, so glad that game won. But I think Donkey Kong Bananza should have been nominated on Best Action games given the fact Platformers are technically Action games. Good to know Doom: The Dark Ages was able to get an award for something though.
 
I feel like a lot of this verses profiles are kind of wack, the marauder has massively hypersonic+ for no reason, a lot of different characters feel like that they should scale to other characters that they currently don’t. And the whole verse, doesn’t really feel that terribly cohesive.

It appears that some speed ratings were not changed in a previous CRT. The Marauder and other demon who scale to the Doom Slayer's speed at that time would have Hypersonic reactions.

Can you elaborate on your proposed scaling chain changes?

Our scaling is actually pretty dated. In addition to Dreadmace basically being a pretty blatant High 3-A feat, unlike Doom Slayer is portrayed in 2016 or Eternal, he wasn't yet the "Invincible warrior that no demon could ever match his power or speed." Meaning that most of the bosses of that period could also be High 3-A as well as anyone else who upscales.

What do you think would specifically be able to scale? I remember you saying Titans as well as Atlans should probably scale. What about the Agaddon Hunter and other super heavy’s on its level?

Maraders seem to be an especial case, same with Ahzrak. Old One and Kreed Maykr would also be in the realm.
 
What about the 2016 Cyberdemon and Spider Mastermind? I don’t think they’d be able to directly scale to the slayer himself, but I feel as if they could probably scale to the Agaddon Hunter and Maraders.
 
Oh shit, we will most likely get to learn more about the praetor suit in the new DOOM DLC
 
Just a note, it seems a relatively random newcomer is messaging random people on their walls. I doubt the validity of what he's saying given the Email Address format and/or the fact that he is supposedly sharing the address completely uncensored. Knowing the status of Marty Stratton, I'm pretty sure he'd have a VIP banner warning recipients that sharing his Email Address without consent would be illegal. And if someone actually did receive an Email, it would probably just be from Bethesda Support or Id Software Support or something. Not the executive using his own personal address.

Plus, I'm sure not everything came from the art books.

Its a random ass mail format that's been going around, similar cases have been going around for the GoW verse and other verses, for Ygrdrassil statements, just ignore it

Also done for Skyrim, it's commonly done for discord / youtube debaters that are trying to "nerf" or debunk each others verses, this guy most likely found it somewhere and thought it's legitimate

It explains a lot trust me, there's beef between DOOM and GoW on who's stronger on basically every other platforn

I actually wonder if we should ban the user one way or another. If there was an actual message, it probably be help.bethesda.net and not something that looks quite specific.
