Dumb question regarding the Static Strength stat

Guys, I really hate to sound like a noob, but why is the Static Strength stat on most DS character pages ranked around Class M, even though that they don't show any strength feats in that range?

But, it says that the hammer the Asylum Demon wielded was around 18.533 tons.

Hmm...now that you mention it. Their lack of reasoning for Lifting Strength requires a stat check.

It comes from Executioner Smough, actually.

Smough's hammer doesn't look like something that weighs like a pyramid though. Why is he Class M+?

That's the Chosen Undead's version, Smough's is much larger.

And he can swing it around with casual ease.
