The World of Edens Zero
Some background information on Ether and emphasis on particle physics in Edens Zero.
The Edens Zero world is a multiverse that emulates the MWI of quantum mechanics and Schrödinger's Cat Thought Experiment.
Muller explicitly reads out the LHS of the Schrödinger Wave Equation (for a non-relativistic particle in one dimension)
Muller explicitly mentions "the famous thought experiment" when "Happy" appears inside a glass Box.
Rebecca's title as "The Cat" and her power, "Cat Leaper" are plays on this. Her power is the power to jump between these infinite possibilities.
The Cosmology is directly referred to as a Multiverse by Master Noah, even the histories of these Universes are different. It has Universes that run parallel to each other.
The robots from 40000 years into the future (counting from 2025) have the power to observe parallel Universes with the Eye of God. They state that there are Infinite Timelines/Universes. Hermit states the same thing.
The power of the eye of God is to track one's location, and Master Noah with his Eye of God observes a change in coordinates whenever they travel to a different Universe.
His power of observation not only tracks one's location in time & across time within a timeline but his ability to observe even extends beyond time across timelines, of which existence he discovers later after they move between timelines instead of reversing time.
When they traveled from Universe-2 to Universe-3, the the 4-coordinates were seemingy indifferent for observers inside the said Universe.
This change in location across timelines could only be observed by Xiaomei, Noah & Time Priestess.
So basically:
These are Infinite separate Space-Time continuum, with a well defined coordinate system in-verse that are tracked by Spatial and Temporal Coordinates.
Jump back in time & jump between timelines could also be tracked and distinguished with this coordinate system.
Mother and Universe 0
It is already seen by the future Robots that all the Infinite Universes were on a path towards destruction due to Mother's disappearance.Universe 0 is the Final World, it is the "Point Zero" of the Multiverse.
The events in Universe 0 have an effect on all the Infinite other Universes (seen in scan above as well).
Once an observation is made in Universe 0, the reality itself (history and memories) is overwritten across all the other Universes.
This becomes the new truth.
All the Universes converge at Zero.
And thus, destruction of Universe 0 would destroy the Multiverse: We already see this happening in the Future, this is not just a theory.
As you can see, the concepts of "Observer" and "Observation" are also plays on the Copenhagen interpretation of Quantum Mechanics btw.
What does this change?
Chronophage
Grants 2-A Environmental Destruction to Chronophage (since she was going to one shot Universe 0, which would cause the destruction of all Infinite Universes)Mother
Mother's second Key is currently "Unknown", however it should be changed to 2-A.Since she is the sole entity who simultaneously sustains Infinite Universes with her Ether. Mother is the source of all Ether.
"Mother" and "Xiaomei" are singular across the multiverse (they exist outside the universes/timelines)
Mother in reality exists beyond the physical Universe just like Xiaomei (who got her powers from mother) as we see it in the last chapter.
What Chronophage devoured was her physical form and reset her back to Planetary state.
She should've been erased at that as she was never reborn. Earth never went Overdrive this time to become Mother.
However that didn't happen. She's chilling in the Stellar Memory as she truly resides beyond the physical Universes and timelines.
Similarly, even though xiaomei was reverted back to the Moon, she still exists unaffected and narrates the story in final Chapter.
