The Tears Among the Stars is an item dropped when the All Devouring Narwhal boss is defeated.

A drop of water obtained from within the colossal beast who coveted the primordial sea of life.

A philosopher in the faraway ancient world once posited that where there is life, there is death; naturally where there is death, there is life.
If not, then the fleeting light cannot resist the eternal darkness, and all withers into nothingness at the end of time.
The rules among the stars dictate that nature must be conserved, but the laws of the universe have never been conserved.
In a sealed box, destruction always overpowers new life. Millennia upon millennia of prosperity are but an instant in a span of billions of years. The greatest of achievements, the proudest accomplishments, in time all will tarnish, decay, dissipate, and ultimately fade into oblivion.
Thus there are things floating in among the stars, once adorned with countless prestigious titles from innumerable civilizations, shedding tears for their ordained demise.
Their tears stream down, out of desperation, out of hope, because all desperation and hope alike will be utterly extinguished along with the innumerable stars.
Their tears stream down out of sorrow, out of joy, because both will eventually scatter into the cold, dark endless void.
Every tiny yet beautiful silhouette and every moment worth remembering will fade with time, even stars.

And then there are these so-called "gods" that are determined to save everything worth saving, and devour everything that should be devoured.
Until the end of time, until the sea of stars recess into nothing but dying embers, until a newborn "world" moves for the first time in the stomach of the whale.
"There will be no more sins, no more sadness, and no more tears, because everything died with the ancient stars."

The sealed box indicates the stomach of the All-Devouring Narwhal. The bolded text says that innumerable stars will be extinguished in the dark endless void (stomach of the All Devouring Narwhal). The Sea of Stars is said to have eventually be devoured into nothingness in the stomach of the All-Devouring Narwhal. It also mentioned that in an instant after billions of years, all achievements all civilisations will dissipate so I think it mentioned the timeframe of the whale absorbing everything to have happened in instant.

A drop of water taken from the great beast that coveted the primal ocean of life.
If there is birth, there must be death; if there is death, there must be birth—such was the conclusion drawn by a sage in the distant ancient world.
If not, then the fleeting moment of brilliance will ultimately succumb to eternal darkness, and at the end of time, all things shall wither away.
The Law of the Stars—the Law of the Universe—should naturally be one of conservation. Yet, the laws of the cosmos have never been conservative.
In a sealed box, decay always overpowers rebirth. Billions of years ago within a fleeting moment, the millennia upon millennia of prosperity, the glorious achievements worthy of pride will inevitably rust, rot, dissipate, and eventually be forgotten.
Thus, there are things adrift between the stars, bearing countless names in countless civilizations, weeping for the destined moment of oblivion.
To weep for despair, and to weep for hope, for all despair and hope shall ultimately fade alongside countless brilliant stars.
Tears fall for sorrow, and tears fall for joy, for all sorrow and joy shall, like drifting duckweed, scatter into the vast, dark, and icy void.
All the tiny yet beautiful figures, all the moments worth remembering, will eventually fade into time, even the stars are no exception.
Thus, the entity once known as "the divine" resolved to preserve all that should be preserved and to devour all that should be devoured.
Until the end of time, until the vast starry void burns down into cold embers, until then, a new "world" shall stir within the belly of the whale.

No more sin, no more sorrow, grief, or tears, for all things have long passed into the eternal stars

To add a little lore into this, All-Devouring Narwhal is the pet of Surtalogi, who is a god. Meaning that narwhall can also be referred to as a god. Neuvillette (also a god) needed to put in effort to defeat the whale. Skirk element is ice, and in CN translation it mentioned the narwhal stomach is an icy void.

Narwhal swallowed innumerable stars. Innumerable number is a finite number too big to be counted, even far bigger than googolplex. The whale should at least be At least 4-A since it ate and absorbed innumerable stars which is an entire starry sky at the very least.

Narwhal type 9 immortality should be removed since the entity inside the whale's stomach is not the whale true form but another person.

We don't have time frame and considering that the narwhal took ages just to eat the primordial sea it shouldn't be usable so disagree

the justificatons for scaling between characters is lowkey ass
Surtalogi being “god” isnt enough, you litteraly have entire skirk quest explaining the diff in power between him and everyone else, im not rly for 4-A but ig thats now fine because
how genshin started giving us actual feats
so ig if CN is true and it only affects the top/god tiers i will probably agree, but the problem is those same tiers are low 2-C already so, might as well re scale entire verse first

We don't have time frame and considering that the narwhal took ages just to eat the primordial sea it shouldn't be usable so disagree
Was also thinking abt this, but the whale drinking the primordial sea and eating the stars should be a different case.

When the whale is eating the stars, it should've been when its not weakened. While we know that the whale absorbing the primordial sea is when it was weakened.

I'm not trying to agree with this crt, i'm just saying.

It would only affect the Sinners Tier.
Sinners Tier: For those who scale to the Five Sinners of Khaenri'ah such as Surtalogi and Rhinedottir who are consistently stated to be capable of destroying the world/planets. 5-B (59.44 Zettatons)

I thought Low 2-C was only for Shades? Skirk and Narwhal are still 6-B

I'll change it to 4-C then. I think it is very obvious the whale isn't only just 6-b

It would only affect the Sinners Tier.
lowkey gonna throw 0th power SoE and eviscerate ALL DIMENSIONS bcs what the **** you mean sinners are 5-B when one sinner named
rhinedottir also has capacity of being tier 2 trough bakunawa vro

I thought Low 2-C was only for Shades?
No, its for everyone who scale to or above them

Example for those who scale to them is the Sovereigns who fought them 40 years long.
Examples for those who scale above them is Dragon King Nibelung and obviously the Heavenly Principles.

This description said something about timeframe being instant, so I think 4-a can still work

The Primordial Sea contains infinite possibilities and also the origin of life in Teyvat. I don't think Primordial Sea is only size of country in magnitude.

Maybe i could agree with this one for now.

That's a fair enough interpretation I think I'll be neutral leaning to agree

Well, actually, I was pretty sure that the narwhal was in tier 4c or 4A, because it was stated that there were stars in its stomach. We can also see the condition of its body, which has a kind of black hole inside.

So I agree with this CRT.

In the ap section it did covered the feat, but it was removed because the main 4-a scaling for the characters was the starry sky in Imaginarium Theatre but the Narwhal feat was never covered.

Yeah, Imaginarium Theater was taken down again because many considered it a fictional world, but I'm still pretty sure it's a real world, after the emergence of Octavia's story and there's a text in the Lunar Arcanum that explains that what the witch created is reality, not just fiction.

The narwhal case is indeed a new topic to discuss this time. I once made a CRT about the narwhal too, but with a different justification.

While we on the topic of the Narwhal, i think the immo type 9 should be gone after the skirk's story quest. It turns out that its not its true form at all, its Skofnungr, Surtalogi's friend who stole the Narwhal's power and somehow lived inside of it.

I'll add it onto thread then

the English text also explains the same thing as what is explained in the raw text.

I think all of this is well, simply put a metaphorical statement that shouldn't be taken as literal given they're hyperbolic statements especially the amount of stars since innumerable is similar to myriad in usage, which is albeit close to infinite due to how big it is (see how the term myriad is used in Japanese). This is like taking Primordial Sea's infinite size to be literal, which would warrant High 3-A anyway whether due to innumerable stars or that one. I disagree with 4-A though (there needs to be concrete evidence Narwhal swallowed the starry stars of Teyvat, if it was through innumerable stars, it would eventually be High 3-A anyway) I agreed with the immortality removal.

Why would narwhal swallowed the starry stars of teyvat anyway? Or more like.. Why would it be the stars of teyvat knowing they're literally fake?

Because innumerable stars is High 3-A, only Teyvat's stars are 4-A (Hexenzirkel statements)

Thats not what i'm asking for. What im asking is.. Why would it be the stars of teyvat instead of the stars of the universe which literally real?

If we look at the text, it talks about when the narwhal is traveling through the universe.

Yeah but the stars in the universe is innumerable, thats like many, many times larger than 3-A even if it's not High 3-A since we know innumerable ≠ infinite. Why would it be 4-A bruh. You know how an infinite amount of planets is High 3-A and one star is 4-C instead of 5-B?

"Why would it be 4-A" thats the OP case, not me.
What im talking about is the "stars" that Narwhal swallowed was the stars in the universe not in Teyvat's false sky.

Bcs its rated as "at least" and because the feat is likely overtime, so its much easier to assume it like that
Tho im not even bothering with tiering of this verse bro its so over for actual scaling

Narwhal is outside of Teyvat. He is not from teyvat. your argument is invalid. and exaggeration can mean exaggerating in any sense

Why would teyvat humans know about them? The description of the item is official and spoken from the narrator and god point of view. Not point of view from teyvat humans.

Teyvat humans vs a philosopher in the faraway ancient world, I mean like even the likes of Surtalogi glazed himself to be the "strongest" in the universe which is obviously an exaggeration given there are Shades and stuff. There needs to be a distinction but like my argument is that other than the innumerable stars one, it also said innumerable civilizations and given the number is bigger than googolplex, safe to say if this happened instantly then it's definitely not 4-A lol. Like how do you not think that the amount of stars being bigger than googolplex doesn't warrant many times above 3-A

I just don't think innumerable here should even be taken as literal, since you know, Surtalogi's best feat is destroying an entire star system and that's it so far

Where should I put them then? I don't understand much of the tiering system, only my friend offsite said feat is 4a because starry sky got eaten
