The point is that being unable to defeat someone and being “doomed” does not mean one cannot harm the opponent. He can harm but ultimately lose anyway.
I guess we're so desperate for Alastor to be anything but a High-tier that we're going to try scaling him to someone who canonically stomped him and even people with in-depth knowledge on his powers say he had zero chance of beating.

Fair, comparison wasn’t ideal, that’s just my limited knowledge on fiction tbh. I don’t really have that many verses to base off examples. I initially wanted to do Iron-Man & Thanos thingy I did in post above but Iron-Man being doomed isn’t recognized in-verse unlike Sans (tho anyone with common sense would say that Tony was indeed doomed there).

The Vees were having trouble with a weakened AL, they don't scale to him at full, especially since the ep basically confirms that Vox didnt actually win
Him not winning is unrelated whether he scales. By that same logic why is Alastor scaling to Adam since he didn't win either? Bottom line is that they fought when he was full power and Vox and Vees are at least comparable (albeit weaker)

Vees could have sneak attacked. And we don’t know if Alastor used his strongest attacks and stuff or just basic attacks, and if he did it to a Full Demon Form before intervention.
