Intelligence isn't really a problem, its moreso scientific stuff which doesn't really translate to combat skill.

Asura himself has faught Kalrow who is best scientist and a DemiGod himself. Who designed the Human Death Star thingy.....

His Energy absorption is solar based, also profile doesn't say he absorbs energy of individuals. Asura's energy system is mantra which is emotion based. I don't think energy manip can effect Asura.

But Hyperion does have 6000°C Heat Beams which should help a bit. But Asura can just counter it with his own blasts.
