Well is supported by the manga, anime and databook. But people go by Comic Book Feats and say is a outliner.

Also the technique is a light beam that uses natural energy (which has a history of being just as fast if not faster than it's real life counterpart). plus there's nothing whatsoever that contradicts this or to assume this is an outlier.
