It's a fair match because while Mai Natsume has a clear stat advantage and several notable hax, Scathach is able to summon other Lancer class servants, like Achilles and Enkidu, and has two very notable Notable Phantasms. Furthermore due to the Mystery and Magic Resistance, Mai might be forced to rely on Gallia Sphyra as it is a Legacy Weapon, of unknown age and origin, and an Immortal Breaker. It's a match that can go either way, in my opinion, because of the abilities and stats that both characters have. That being said, do you find this match-up unfair?

That doesn't matter against someone who just needs to throw her spear once and kill Scáthach through AP, which is in character for her to do.

Speed has been equalized and Scathach has Precognition, so to assume that Mai can throw her spear and Scathach will let it hit is a logical fallacy which your comment does seem to indicate as nothing further is elaborated. Both are known masters of the spear, one through experience and one through the spear itself, and of martial arts. And given equalized speed, if Scathach summoned Achilles or Enkidu it could be game over for Mai. Though that being said, Mai doesn't even need to throw the spear to kill Scathach.

No idea, but she has A rank Clairvoyance, so it'll be pretty hard for Mai to land a hit with it.

Nope, but if we find her Luck stat and it's B+ or higher, Scathach should easily dodge, since B+ luck allows you to dodge attacks that literally reverse casualty to hit first.

OP should be specifict for which version of both, anyway answering Schnee question about Scathach luck.....let's say she has luck higher than Cu, otherwise its still bad

Since Gallia Sphyra is the only reliable way to affect Scathach, because of Servant Physiology which includes Mystery and A rank Magic Resistance, AP does not matter. However that does not stop Mai from using Ars Magus or Azure in ways that do not affect her. I did not specify which tier as I knew Standard Battle Assumptions would use the strongest versions of both characters.

Go look up Servant Physiology and then Scathach's profile and read both in their entirety. Scathach's Mystery as a Divine Mystery nullifies any AP advantage Mai has.

She has Ars Magus which can affect beings that are immune to conventional weaponry. So yes she can harm Scathach.

All of the servant physiologhy and the thing you said are not gonna do much work if your opponent are in planet buster level, she will got destroyed over and over
