I'm not sure. Luck can be bypassed by an absolute certainty. Unless something like a massive rock comes out of nowhere and makes Thomas fall off the tracks, I believe Thomas runs into him and knocks him out

Ok sure but I don't recall Bean ever using explosives all the time. I'm sure he's used them but it's not like every Bean film or adventure he uses explosives to murder people/trains

He is willing to kill. And it's not like he is killing a person. He probably wouldn't have an issue with Thomas cause he is a train. Plus, if someone is trying to kill him. He is willing to fight. The last time someone tries to steal from him. He took them down without hesitation. So nothing to say he would have an issue with a train
