POKEMON KAIJU BATTLE

More Pokemon v Pokemon is needed!

Groudo :

v

Regigigas :

Groudon is in base form, and speed is equalized(if nesessary)

Regigigas' Slow Start can be ignored since it never seems to play a factor in any media other than the games as a way to nerf Gigas, unless it HAS to be active for the battle to be fair.

Fight Takes place on Mt. Stark in Sinnoh

The one who raised the continents vs the one who put them in place.

While Gigas scales above the trio that stopped both Kyogre and Groudon at that same time, imo that would only make it comparable if a bit higher.

However, Groudon has a passive boost in Drought, which would render the advantage moot.

It then comes down to their respective movesets, and I believe, with his Ice manipulation, Gigas might have still a little of an advantage. Ice Punches, and if he could create more Regice mid battle, yeah, is GG.

That said, Groudon has his own stuff too. Will look more in-depth to the movesets both bring, but right now leaning Gigas high-diff (potentially even inconclusive).

Regigigas would win easily, given the Adventures manga
2 divided by 3 is 66%, while (at least) times 2 would mean Gigas is just 33% stronger. Drought make Groudon's fire attacks two times more powerful.

So no, Gigas doesn't win 'easily' for just scaling.

1, I never brought up percentages about attacks

2, If he's vastly superior to beings that could stop both Groudon AND Kyogre at the same time, Regigigas is vastly superior to just Groudon.

So, having reread both movesets, Groudon has a very big range advantage. Thunder, Earthquake, Fissure. Yeah.

Gigas' only range attack is hyper beam and (maybe) confuse ray. However...

That Confuse Ray may be the key Gigas needs to overcome Groudon if he tanks enough attacks to overcome distance.

Maybe.

Any other thing cancel each other out (except Rest, but that would honestly be suicide in this fight). So it comes down to: can Regigas tank/dodge Groudon's attacks before using Confuse Ray.

Or maybe, since they are fighting in Mt. Stark, get some lava and forge more Regirocks, though we don't know how long it takes for him to do make them.

@Robot

From this we can see the regis just about equal Regigigas, and even individually they can manage to hurt him (or at least push him around to force him into mindhaxxing them). So my percentage are mostly correct. Neither has any advantage AP wise over the other.

@Final

Oh, yeah, Hidden Power is a thing, lol. It would depend what type, but in the end, even if grass or ice, it won't matter that much. At best it would help against the thunder.

Right now, Groudon has the slight advantage thanks to his range attacks. That said, if Regigigas could use Confuse Ray from 4 km away, it would be GG.

Although, if Gigas could close distance by a combination of Wide Guard and tanking, my original scenario plays out.

I will give it to Gigas based on that. A very, very, very long fight, but he has the tools to keep up, strong enough to withstand the (unboosted) range attacks, and versatile enough that if he closes distance, he could put Groudon in it's place.

Regigigas High-Diff.
