Why further stagnate the series with remakes? How about something new for a change? Take the foundations pokepark attempted to create, make it not suck with something along the lines of mystery dungeon, and toss in elements from pokken for the battle system.

4 out of 7 Generations had us visiting Kanto. Gens Vl and Vll had a big hard on for Kanto stuff as well.

Nah, but remakes let you revisit parts of the series that would otherwise be forgotten and adds on to the lore more then new games.

Well, for sure the reason they don`t do it is not for hardware limitations, but so that they can just take a part of something done before and gain more profit for selling it in parts, each part becoming more obsolete than the previous one...
