During a conversation, Kamala asks what exactly Gwen is and how she got her powers. Gwen says her thing about being from the real world, but Kamala obviously doesn't believe her. Kamala suggests that Gwen is actually a mutant that manifested her powers when she was young, and her subconcious made her believe she was in a comic world to protect herself from her then uncontrollable power. Her powers make this her new origin. Despite remembering her old one, this new one is now considered the real one, evidenced by Krakoa opening a gate to itself for her.

Later, she rewrites her backstory to include back in her old one, while also leaving her new one, giving herself two origins that she remembers.

Causality Manipulation (After a Kamala Khan suggested she was actually a mutant, her powers rewrote this into her origins. Later, she re-adds her old origins back while retaining her new one as well)
Acausality (Type 1. Despite her origin being rewritten, she simultaneously remembers both as true)

That Causality Manipulation, was that reactive or consciously activated?

True, but didn’t it take her a bit to realize what was happening? Also, if it only effects her, is it combat applicable?

Not sure to what extent she can utilize it. As far as I know, this is the only time she's done something like this. You'd have to ask a more experienced Marvel reader.

This seems to make sense to me.

What is combat? An ability with "non-combat applicable" written in it implies it can't be used in combat, but if it can be used via strange requirements or in a limited way then it can be used in combat, maybe those strange requirements are met or that limited use of it ends out helping, there're all kinds of combat.

Giving Gwenpool the power just like it's written in the OP doesn't imply she would use it in combat but actually implies she can change the past by thinking (maybe she needs to be very aware of that past to do so, I believe it's up to interpretation), and that can find usability. Or maybe she needs to be in crisis to trigger that huge use of her powers, that takes away some usability but the wording wouldn't lie.

@Lollipop_The_King Are her Weaknesses missing something? By the end of that album it once again seemed as if she didn't have the full control over her powers as her profile implies.

(Woof, CRTs are hard)
I'm unsure. Gwenpool Strikes Back is the only issue I've read, so if her rebooted self had any further appearances, I am unaware.

That’s the part I’m curious about. The OP implies the past was only change for herself, not for anyone else. I was wondering how that could be used in combat setting.

I think the additions are fine but maybe add mentions that her causality manip doesn't seem to be fully under her control and at times responds to her emotions or thoughts, regardless of what she wants? The full nature of the ability is very vague and hasn't been tested yet.

My two cents.

I agree with C2, sometimes her Retcon/Causality manipulation is done subconsciously without her knowledge and sometimes she can do it at a whim so adding a note about not having complete mastery will probably be helpful.

How's this?

Note:
*Gwen's Causality Manipulation does not seem to be fully under her control, as sometimes it responds to her subconscious and sometimes she can use it consciously.
That seems fine to me.

Actually this is wrong.

She doesn't have "two origins", she constructed a fake origin for herself accoridng to Kamala, and she isn't sure as to what origin is correct for her. The "crossroads" are moreso is a meta sense towards the reader and the writer to choose, not regarding her property.

You're taking her statements hyper-literally when there are far easier and less confusing ways to interpret these statements.

The_Impress makes a good point.

So she doesn't

Huh...
If this wasn't meant to be literal, guess this can be closed.
I'm gonna leave Marvel stuff to the experts next time.

Okay. No problem.
